Farview I see you are in St. Charles. I am from Geneva but currently I am at school in Champaign. If it wouldnt be too much trouble I was windering if maybe I could come take a look at your studio and maybe pick your brain about recording?? I am just getting started with a firepod and my laptop...
On my bands latest little home project we went ahead and used a click for the first time ever...let me tell you it took some getting used to. We are a very dynamic band that has a bad habit of speeding up or slowing down with the volume flucuations. When we were tracking drums it was hard for...
anyone used this with a firepod? If so how does it do. I was going to upgrade my cubase from the LE version that comes with the firepod but instead I might just try reaper as it sounds like it will be cool to mess around with. If I am a first time MIDI used should I avoid this right now. I am...
I would jump on these in a second if I had the capital as they are my next major purchase I have planned. If you are having trouble selling them here I would reccomend the "Yard Sale" section of www.taperssection.com since these are great budget mics for recording live music. They will get...

Thanks for all that knowledge...however it is all a bit overwhelming and well I am not handy enough to rig everything up like you said. And my headphone amp is actually a Behringer HA4700. Is there anyhing I can buy that will take care of the problem? Again thanks everyone for your responses.
It is only when I have my guitar amp running direct and or when I have my headphone amp hooked up and then it just comes through the heaphones. When I switch my amp form ground to lift it goes away. It also happened when we ran our keyboard players output through his amp and then ran hte amp...
I have narrowed down a wicked hum in my firepod when I run things direct. I am almost positive it is some kind of hum from a ground lopp hum of sorts. I have been meaning to buy a power conditioner anyways so I am looking for something reasonably priced like the Furman Pl-8 II. PM me or email...
One album that just "sounds" amazing is Bringing Down the Horse by the Wallflowers...drums, organs, guitars...all sound incredible. I would say the mixing is perfect, everything is clear yet nothing is overpowering.
