    Fender guitar pickups?

thanks for the suggestions charger and DJL... i really like the sound of the Little '59 ones that i heard on their site. however, i should also probably change my neck and middle pickups as well? because i plan on putting the Little '59 in the bridge position. it says on Seymour Duncan's site...

    Fender guitar pickups?

on a side note, after a good amount of research, it seems there are two sides to the seymour duncan hot rails: 1. they are great for fat, deep, and distorted sound for modern rock and even certain punk (which is great for me) 2. however your clean is ruined by some distortion due to it's...

    Fender guitar pickups?

thanks, i checked out the seymour duncan pickups you two mentioned online.. they look real nice, and not too pricey. my question is how many of these should i get? only one for the bridge? also, it is wise to let a technician install them, considering i've had no soldering experience or ever...

    Fender guitar pickups?

I don't know if I should start a new thread, but I am also looking for new pickups for my Squier Strat. Contrary to DJL, I want less of a vintage Strat sound. I am into hard rock, punk, and just more modern stuff in general. Soon-to-be armed with a Marshall amp, I think you can get an idea of...

I Bought a New Marshall Amp....

if that's the case, i will probably stick with the MG100DFX.. it's not a problem having the pedal, because i do have one (boss metal zone mt-2), but i just want an amp that give me more modern distortion than a vintage tube amp.

I Bought a New Marshall Amp....

Buck!! Congrats on your new toy! I have a few questions, since I am in the market for a new amp. I stopped by my local MusicMall and Daddy's Junky Music and checked out the Marshall combos they had. I tried out the MG50DFX and the MG100DFX. I really liked both, since they're exactly the same...

Help a noob out-- want to mic my amp and record on PC

I think I'm going to stick with a combo amp when I pick one up at the store. It's wayyy over my budget to be thinking about a head and cab, unless I buy through auction online. Plus it wouldn't be too convenient to lug back and forth from and to school. Parents wouldn't be too keen on the sheer...

Help a noob out-- want to mic my amp and record on PC

Senn, yeah I know what you mean. I just got outbidded, oh well :D I never expected it to stay low. But anyway, I have to decide what amp I'm going to buy now. I'll go to a few local music stores, and whatever sounds best to me with my guitar, I will get. Thanks for all the help and suggestions...

Is a 60 watt amp loud enough for an outside gig?

I'm almost 100% positive that the head makes more of a difference on the sound than the speaker cab. *tsx

Ohms? ...what do they mean and how do you match?

alright.. i'm still a little confused though. so you're saying it doesn't matter if the amp isn't a tube amp? well the head i was looking at is a Marshall Valvestate VS100 head.. it's 100watts @ 4 ohms. so what kind of cabs can i hook it up to? only a 4ohms cab? or can i hook it up to a cab that...
