Han-D-Mag will do the trick on 1/4" tape. Ive erased a couple that way. Takes a little bit of work, but does work! Though its best to get a bulk eraser if you plan on doing this more than a couple of times.

Yeah, I pretty much do the same. RNC for individual tracks, then I use the "super nice" mode on stereo mixes, on subtle settings. Tim, how do those Alesis Micro Limiters compare to the RNC, on a stereo mix? Are you using them together?

Ended up with the Midiverb IV, manual and adapter came with it too, talked him down a bit on the price as well. I'll have a chance to get more familiar with this thing later today! :)

I tried the Boss pedal, it was an RV-5...didn't quite give me the sound that I wanted. I'm checking out an "Alesis Midiverb III" as well as a "midiverb II" locally tomorrow, and I may bring one home. Any opinions on these units? The guy wants $150 each, but I think I can talk him down a little...

Thanks guys, I'll definitely keep the LXP-1 in mind. What are some other good reverb units to consider? Just in case I don't find a decent cond., LXP-1 in my price range, $150ish is probably the most I want to spend on a used unit.

I've thought about that, but I'm not really sure all the parts that I would need, or if I would be able to put it all together myself. Is it fairly easy? I'm not too much of an expert on computers.
