I think music will become a bit more complex to make it interesting but I don't expect to see shredders on TRL any time soon. It has an underground scene that is pretty strong and it's better that way. I've seen jazz and fusion players shred too, it's not only popular in rock.

I play a 7-string (in standard tuning) and I use all of the strings and all of my fingers. If bass players (5-Stringers) can do it why can't I?

I like guitar solos and big drum kits. It depends on what you want to play on the drums for me personaly, I like kits with a range of different sounds. Also I believe toms are good for more than fills. I have nothing against a guy on a small kit. If you're good then you're good and all you need...

I think he's overrated but I got respect for him any ways. You can't hate a guy for being successful. I don't consider him the God-like status like some people do, he's a great song writer good musician.

It seems like Drumming is underrated to the world. So in the drumming/music community.
