You're Having Triplets! - new instrumental

Thanks for the comments! When I remix I'll make the organ a little louder. Also that fuzz guitar in the middle is too bassey and muffled. Both the rhythm and lead guitars are the same Squier Telecaster, with Dimarzio Twang-master pickups installed. The Rhythm uses the neck pickup, and the lead...

    Stoner enough?..

This track sounds pretty cool! Needs to be a bit clearer somehow, sounds kind of muddy.. look forward to hearing the finished product! I kind of like the stone rock genre, some bands get the exact fuzzy sabbath sound guitar, and have a really great sound.. unfortunately many are ruined by the...

    Highway Star - new mix

Yeah! Awesome!! Hey that's awesome! Vocal is just great! Guitar, organ, drums are really really good! Only thing is the bottom end might be just a tad weak, like I can't hear the bass in the verses, maybe the bass is playing that G an octave up? Wow this is great! The best cover I've ever...

You're Having Triplets! - new instrumental

Here's my latest instrumental, kind of a twangy tune, maybe it would've been a hit in 1957 along with Duane Eddy and stuff.. :D Any comments appreciated! http://www.members.shaw.ca/jroykirk/triplets.mp3 If that doesn't work... members.shaw.ca/jroykirk/triplets.mp3 Myspace page...

Whole Lotta Love! remake - comments plz

Well thanks for the encouragement everyone! I really think my vocal on this is the weak point - but I'm in currently trying to get a really talented singer I know to redo it! I'll post a new version if I get the new vocal..

Just For Fun - Cover song from Avril - mY Awful Sister - updated

Wow, that was quite enjoyable! I think the vocal was really good, just wish it was a bit louder. The tuning on the vocal is quite obvious but not too distracting. She seems to have a European accent maybe? You should be nicer to her, that was good! :)

Whole Lotta Love! remake - comments plz

I originally intended this to be in a Texas bluesy SRV style, but don't know what it is now. I did mega tracks trying to get interesting sounds and stuff, if you listen please leave at least a brief comment... Thanks! http://members.shaw.ca/jroykirk/wholelottalove_mix2.mp3

    Sweet Leaf cover Feat. Dogman

I find it kind of murky, distorted and far away.. would like to hear the rythm guitars kind of nice and upfront. The guitars do kind of have the same sound as the originals though. The drums are way to upfront. Is this a live recording? Nothing wrong with the playing! The atonal vocal is kind...

    Crossroads cover - lead extravaganza!

Used a few different guitars.. The Hendrixy sounding intro rhythm in the left is a two year old Squire Strat with a missing G string. The first lead section is an Ibanez Artcore AF75 with TV Jones pickups, the second more distorted section is an 85 Randy Rhodes Jackson. All guitars and the bass...

    Crossroads cover - lead extravaganza!

Here's a cover of Crossroads I did just for fun.. Couldn't find anyone to sing it so my vocal will have to do. This is just an excuse for mega lead solos anyways! :D Any and all comments very much appreciated! http://members.shaw.ca/jroykirk/crossroads.mp3 if that doesn't work...

Superglue and Sunflowers.. guitar instrumental... mix?

Wow thanks for all the comments! Equipment I used; Lead guitar is a 1985 Randy Rhoads Jackson, going into a Voodoo Labs Sparkle Drive, then a Line 6 Modulation Modeller (univibe sound), then into an Echo Mia soundcard, and into Cubase. I used Native Instrument Guitar Combos for the amplifier...

New guitar instrumental - mix opinions plz!

Thanks for the positive comments! The Drums samples are from a program called EZ Drummer. I also use Drumkit From Hell with Battery sometimes too, which sounds good..
