Lucky bastards
SM57 costs $130 and SM58 costs $150 here :(
cheapest SPC1 costs about $400
And the real pro gear hahahahahah
The moment I can buy stuff with those prices I'll start bashing B'ringer products :)

OK I may get flamed for this but I'll say it anyway :D:
Looks like you know NOTHING about audio production, recording and equipment, so I don't understand why someone would want to buy you a studio which you don't know how to use in the firsdt place (but that's another story and I hope you...
No don't change stuff in your Scard mixer.
Plug your preamp into souncards line 1.
Then set your software's channels you want to record to so they recieve signal from soundcards line 1.
Now pan the softwares mixer channels you have recorded to hard left and hard right.
Now you have the same...
I've heard NT-1 2 times on a recording.
Once through Presounus Bluetube on female vocals where it sounded great.
And then through the B'ringer tube mic pre on male vocals where it sounded nasty.
So go figure :)
But people say it's a very harsh sounding mic.
I'd deffinetly go for the C1.
But...
I keep it at 7, just to cut some of that high end "grain" from my dist sound.
Sometimes on 10 for acoustic.
I also use two different pickups on my RG550 to change the tone.

It's smarter to buy a great preamp and a good mic than a great mic and a good pre, cause the chance is that you'll get great vocals with a SM58 into a great pre then a Neumann to a B'ringer :).
And as it has been said many times: you just have to try out the different mics on your voice...
Well my thoughts:
Everything is panned center, so they are eating away space from each other, you should spread out the mix a bit.
The guitars lack that guitar tone since they are recorded direct.
The vocals are muffled hard to understand and lack hi end.
Evrything else has nice high end so the...
Rack mounted 16 in/out? 2xDelta1010, 2xLayla24.
Not rack mounted 16 in/out? 2xTerratec EWS88MT, 2xSiena.
But.... If you are going to the studio aren't you paying to the engineer for his experience/knowledge/ears?
What makes you think that you need to give him very detailed pointers?
If the...
1. Why do you want to record your guitar as stereo? It's not a stereo signal.
2. If you want to record it on 2 tracks you can record the same input to two separate tracks. This way you don't need a special cable. And pan one hard left and the other hard right.
Keijo
IT DEPENDS ON THE MUSIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D
I'll buy you a beer if you can mix (growling) vocals with heavy dist guitars and like 20 other instruments without HEAVY compression. :D
And how do you track a vocalist that goes from quiet talking to loud screaming? Compressor on the way in.
I agree...
Can you hear any great differences in the sound between those two? With the same patterns. Just curious. I have the C4000B aswell and I agree about everything you've said. Except it just doesn't flatter SOME vocalists. So I'm looking to get some different sounding mics. Thinking seriously about...

I ordered my Terratec EWS88MT from them. Theirs was the cheapest price I could find. And they have excellent service I got my scard in 1,5 weeks, and it was very nicely packed.
