I was thinking of building a new Windows based computer also but instead bought a Powermac Dual 867 Ghz 512 Mb w/60gig HD. I plan on just running the 9.2 OS with probably Logic 6 Pro though that decision isn't final yet. Question is, without cluttering the machine with any other software...

Using the AMD 64 bit processor and ASUS motherboard, what other components would be reccomended? I'd like to keep costs between $500-700.

Well, I finally did it... I cancelled my order on the A-90EX in favor of the XV88 and that ended up on the back burner since now I may soon order a Fostex 824 system. In the meantime though, a used A-90EX turned up and I was able to by it for $1200 with a $200 dollar rack to go along with it...
