The vocal needs to come up on all the tracks. The hi-hat needs to go down on a child in your eyes. I like the vocal, very stina if you know what I meana. I'd be inclined to give it a bit of high mid to make it cut.

Well its no neumann but it will get the job done :) You need a pop filter to record vocals, the cheapest that zzounds have is $25 If you're really strapped for cash you could make a pop filter with a nylon stocking and a coat hanger though.

I have no doubt that it makes a difference I just have a doubt about the magnitude of the difference. We are probably talking about something well below 100dB of normal signal levels.

Its a division of marshall electronics - and since they own it, its probably the cheapest source of cable, also by printing "wired with mogami" they get free advertising, improved brand recognition for their other product and also imply something abouts its quality.
