I have an original 1969/70 thomas organ wah. It cuts the tone in half, taking a lot of the bass away and lowers volume. I looked in it and it seems to be all original, Switch, pot, nasty white capacitors. I have some carbon comp resistors, and some orange drops. Is there any common values to...

Here's a pic. Notice at the top of the circut board, the circles, that is where the tubes attatch right to it. If anything fails, will a carbon comp resistor even fit, everything is so...........tight and small, and that's not always a good thing.

I thought the carvin I have wasn't made this way, but it is. Has anyone had any trouble with this practice? I guess it's been a practice in tube amps for 15-20 years.

How much does an attenuator lessen the life of tubes on a 100 watt amp? EL34's are kind of pricey and I'm using 4 at a time, I was thinking of getting some Yellowjackets to convert the EL34's to EL84's. Now 4 Yellowjackets would be over $100 bucks. Would it be worth the investment, or...

The THD is rated for 185 watts. He doesn't say much about the Marshall powerbrake, puts it down a little though.

It was a good read. I'm gonna try the steps he mentioned with an eq and attenuator when I get the cash. The carvin 112 has a tone stack and a seperate eq. The way he puts it, it sounds like I'm ahead of the game a little. The amp does sound good.

I was messing around with the amp it some more today (The sounds are limitless, and good). It farts pretty good up until 5 on 25 watt setting. I put in on the 100 and it stops flapping, but I can't turn in up past 2 1/2 cause it's too loud. Read the link I posted, I guess I'll save up for a...
