Agreed. The guitar can be improved with better mic positioning I think. The vocal sounds much better than the guitar, but needs some EQ treatment. Roll off some of the low-mid's from the vocal. Just my $0.02.

Arpeggios, arpeggios, arpeggios That's how I leared sweeps. Play them up and down, over and over, and they will natually become sweeps.

A Must-Have I use my E-bow a lot. They sound great w/ delay and distortion, as a subtle element in a mix. The newer ones with the two settings are sweet.

Well it appears I'm an idot, according to the person who negged me for putting carpet on the walls, saying it's a fire hazard. Really???

Anyone try these yet? I just put a set on a Martin last night and they're pretty damn sweet. No more Elixers for me.

I record in a small room in which I nailed carpet to all of the surfaces and it's pretty darn quiet.

The Joe Pass ones are really good. Dave Navaro did one in which he openly stated that instructional video's are NOT a good way to learn.

It's True Squiers are Fender Strats, cheap overseas versions thereof. I had one the first year they came out & the headstock read "Squier Stratocaster." "Fender" was printed on the back.

I often get ideas as I'm just drifting off to sleep. Sometimes I wake up & jot them down. Sometimes they're too advanced for me to perform.

Not new to recording, but I am new to drum machines. I just picked up a DR670 and, frankly, am overwhelmed with the selection of drum sounds. In creating a drum kit, I should simply let my ears guide my selection. But there are so many, my ears get numb after a while. What is your method...

So basically substituting the DR "instruments" for the BR's rhythm guide. But then I could not have the drums in stereo . . . or could I?

I just picked up a DR-670. (What a cool machine!). When recording the drum machine to a BR1180, is there any benefit to using MIDI?

The balls are not an issue if you thread the string first through the tuning machine, then down the neck & into the trem, clamping the non-ball end.
