Agony - Original hard rock...rough cut

Can't really make any comments on mix or production as I'm listening on my phone(yikes!) I definitely dig the the track and genre. A little A.I.C with the crawling, seething feel... Yes, i like this Will give it a proper listen later this evening and provide more thoughts. Great job

    Hit Shitter - Metal-ish (80's)?

Ray Thank you !! I think you are correct, more/better eq-ing would help out a lot with separation, clarity and Falls in line with what Jam mentioned as well. My pseudo mastering for lack of better term consists of smashing the master pretty hard. Not to a brick wave form but what I call the...

    Hit Shitter - Metal-ish (80's)?

I was working on the mud in this mix and I agree it still needs attention. The guitar tone had/has a lot in the 300-400hz range that I suspect is one part of the issue. The bass tone(which I was not really happy with) is the other part. When combined its like quick sand. Think it could clean up...

    Over God

You are correct with your suspicions regarding what my monitors relay to me. At the moment the room my system is set up in and how the system is set up leave just about everything to be desired. I try to listen to track on different systems in different places then go back and try to correct...

    Critique new HEAVY track

Can't argue that I've received much more advice then I've provided back to the community. I'm here listening often but don't feel I have the knowledge to offer. I will make concerted effort to throw my 2 cents in moving forward. No disrespect ment. Thanks for the tune up.

Nothing Looks Good On You - collab w/sammydix

This song was originally an attempt at a country tune. I'm not sure what happened to that idea. Struggling with lyrics and even more so with vocal performace I called upon the one and only, Sammydix down in Atlanta, Georgia Sammy kept my title but wrote his own lyrics and of course performed all...

    Hurricane

Better for sure : ) For my taste the heavy guitar tone needs some work. It seems a bit flubby? I think the vox would sit better and the song overall would gel better with a different guitar tone. Just my $0.02 and personal taste A tone similar to what you got for Diary of a Madman would be...

    Hurricane

Got to echo what the other two guys offered already. I think the song represents the genre well but need to be able to hear it Like said above remix trying out the mentioned ideas at least, then definitely repost it

    Dog off the leash

Thanks !! Thanks ! Bass is real .... I've listened to this on many different systems and haven't felt the bass was too much on any of them. Maybe just personal preference. What did you listen on ? Thank you for commenting !!! Nice :) Thanks !! I think your right, a bit more meat it...

FIRE FLIES - mix help (Stoner, Grunge, Metal)

I'm listening on krk rp-5's which aren't positioned well in an untreated room. I used a psp preset for a pseudo master and I believe it had some high end boost right in the range you mentioned 5k-8k maybe. Going to revisit mix tonight. Thanks jimi

FIRE FLIES - mix help (Stoner, Grunge, Metal)

I think the majority of the brightness harsh or otherwise is coming from my pseudo mastering attempt.

FIRE FLIES - mix help (Stoner, Grunge, Metal)

Hey thanks for the detailed comments jonlint. You touched on a lot of things and I'm in agreement with most of them, a few things plugin wise I will have to research as I'm unfamiliar with the plugins themselves and their usage. Got a lot to dive into and explore. Thanks again bro. (BTW I heard...
