when I recorded some piano today (using a midi keyboard) I found it very hard, basically impossible, to have each chord and note be recorded at the same volume. It sounds pretty crappy with one chord being at one level and the next chord being noticeably louder or softer. I'm using Cubase LE...
when I was playing around with my new grand piano vsti in cubase i go an occasional clicking sound while playing. why is that? how can I prevent that from happening? thanks!

My audio buffer sample is set it 192 samples and the rate is 44.1 kHz
I have an input latency reading of 10.975ms and an output latency reading of 10.227.

The condenser mic is upright (perpendicular to the floor), is that what you mean? I am breathing through my nose, I guess it's just something i'll have to be weary of...

I've just started messing around with my recording stuff. 2 things... what's considered a decent level of latency? How would I lower it if it's too high?
Also when I was recording acoustic guitar with a condenser, in front of the sound-hole, about 6" away and then tried again at about 10-12"...
not really... there are certain ones that are free so which of those are the best. I am not making a selection from all the plug ins- there is a restriction. if your gonna answer with a wise crack at least make sure it's correct. that wasn't really helpful at all so I don't appreciate it.
