as far as i know, what happens is that the yamaha acts as a slave and one it recieves the timecode it uses it to store memory locations of fader movements within the 02rs built in memory. without it being slaved up to something it does not have any clock to reference to. hopefully that makes sense

with the 02r you can automate mixes and it uses timecode in order to store memory locations. so i'm hoping to use the digi as the master so that the 02r can recieve the timecode, thus allowing me to do my mixes on there rather than in the box.

i've never synced stuff up before with the digi so i'm not sure if it can be done with the lightpipe but i dont think it can. its the older version of the o2r so i'm thinking of making the digi the master. i've read you can send mtc with the digi so i figure there's gotta be a way to set it up...

i figured you could do that too but where would you come out of the 002? and how do you set up both systems to transmit/recieve the signal? i'm new to the 02r so sorry if this seems like a pretty simple question

Thanks. It's kind of my first attempt at doing a master off the top of my head... -applied some very slight limiting -i added some eq around 125hz to make the bass a little clearer, little boost 2k for the crunch of the guitars and added a bit to the 9-12k region to bring up the cymbals...

i've only tried 2 ADK mics (both looked like u87's but black)... i can't remember what their model was but i found them both to be very hyped in the mid range. decent mics for what they sell for

at my school we had a NT1 and i thought it sounded great. when i A-B'd it to a U87 it sounded very close. sure, they're not identical and the u87 was nicer sounding but for about $2200 cheaper i'd love to have one in my mic closet. its well worth the money you pay for it

digitech makes a pedal called the "jam man". it can hold something like 22 hours of music and loop it or do whatever you want. Its also has a tap tempo function and usb insert so you can send files from your computer. I'd recommend checking that out and then ship a stereo signal into it. then...
