You're recording automation in the arrange window? On a track set to "audio playback 1-16?" I don't know much beyond what's in that thread linked to in my previous post. If you've tried all that and still have probs, you'll have to give more detail about what you're doing.

BTW, you can make the 'Main Mix' knob and 'cntrl room/submix' knob independent by performing modification #3 described in the 1202 manual. Involves just a little soldering.

I use this same setup all the time w/ no probs: [list=1] [1]route the mic through the 3-4 bus(MUTE/ALT 3-4 button down) and, of course Logic's in to the 3-4 outs on the mixer. Set level on 1202 pre to optimum for recording, not mixing. Set mix(currently recording track and prerecorded tracks)...

LOL. I see your point, but just because it transmits in one application, doesn't mean it does when 1/2" thick and screwed down. I can see how someone would guess that it wouldn't be good for soundproofing, but things are not always what they seem. I've yet to see any conclusive comparisons.

I've seen posts saying sliding glass doors can be found w/ STC's of 33. What about when you double 'em up? Does this mean the STC doubles? 66?
