I want to get a shockmount for my Studio Projects B1 (I've heards that they have an internal shockmount but I still want one cause it's my only condenser....wanna make it look cool :)... Plus I'll use it down the road when I get a B3) but there's nowhere near me who carries them in stock ever...
I love getting ripped on postage. Last week a guy on ebay quoted me $100 to ship a little PA. I checked it out on UPS and was quite liberal in the overestimates of size and weight and it still came out to $53....haha .... He didn't reply when I asked him what was up.
I don't know for sure but maybe your mic is just too hot and that's why you keep peaking at every volume. What about putting an in line pad right after the mic to drop 20-40 db off your initial input.

Cool thank guys.......I'm gonna try to figure something out. I'm hoping to have it all set by late May but we'll see what happens. I know that there are much better options out there as far as set up goes but I just wanna get out and play more and not have to be limited to places with their...
Holy Hell......$575....would they have even cost that much brand new?? Or aren't they at least like $89 each if you buy them unmatched?? Is the case and the "matching really worth the extra $350+??
Hey man I listened to the 5th ace tune. Not my kind of music but a good tune with a pretty complex set of tracks I'm sure.
The mix sounds great though......what did you use to mic your drums?? What program are you using on your comp to do the tracking and mixing??.......Site looks good...
Adding stereo effects? I'm not sure I get this fully.....I know that a stereo track is recorded with 2 mics and usually panned but what is meant my stereo effects? Like reverb.....would I just be adding the same reverb to each of the pair of dry stereo tracks?? Can you add mono effects to...
Hey my comp is kinda noisy too and at the moment I'm just gonna have to live with it til I can build something when I get home in the summer. Does Sonar have one of those noisereduction options like on Cool Edit?? What does it do just take a template of the noise of the comp when the rest of...
Thanks BlueBear....yeah I didn't think I could get Stereo without 2 mics but I was just getting confused by the Stereo and mono inputs on my SB card options for recording. Just made it seem like you could choose one no matter what kind of source you were running into it....thats what didnt make...
Cool just curious, no big deal. Yeah this snow is nuts. I'm just south on Toronto in Canada and it's insane up here right now. I love it in Nov-March but honestly this is April. :(
Ok, I ditched the idea of a sm58 for my first dynamic mic and decided ot go for a Sennheiser E835s. So the mic locker is SLOWLY but surely growing from scratch. I've got a SP B1 and the E835. Next on the list is gonna be a pair of 603's I think, and maybe a Blue Ball and another B1 later in...
Oh wait one more thing. I had no problem changing the tempo of the WAV using the tampo bar but how do I change the tempo of the MIDI metronome? and can I turn down the volume on the metronome beat (right now I have a pretty loud closed hi hat hit) ?? Thanks again
Metronome up and Running.......thanks guys you're awesome...Turns out I had my SB Synth in port 2 and the metronome set to port 1....What would I do without you : )
Hey man if you only have 1000 to spend go buy Taylor 355 12 string (one going for $835 or so on ebay right now). If you have more to spend go for a Taylor W65 Claro Walnut 12string oooohhhhhh so sweet : ) Good Luck. BJ
Hey moskus, the wav file you made for me worked just fine....I can loop it and set the tempo as I like it but I'm just curious as to how it can be done the other way. See I do have SBLive like you said can be used but I still can't seem to get it to work from the metronome taskbar.....I have no...
I've been looking at getting an sm58 as my first dynaic mic for live vocals but I jjst noticed this one. How does this E835 stand up to the sm58 for vocals?? (I know each voice is different I'm just looking at general overall quality and sound compared to the 58)
Thanks .....BJ
