    New collab with Anfontan

Hey Gerry, I will try and get some parts together and send them your way soon-I need to polish up some parts anyway. That Tele style guitar just makes me want to play the twangy stuff, but it can growl very nicely too! Thanks to everyone that listened and commented, hope a new version is...

For some great info on changing the nut, you should PM Muttley600, he is an outstanding luthier in the UK. If you have to cut the slots you will need special files that are fairly pricey.... Thanks TonyW1, the Melody Maker is my first P-90 guitar and has totally sold me on the P-90 for an all...

Haemophilliac Heroes Final Mix & Master

Very cool song, top notch performances! I'm sort of hearing a bit of Bowie/Eno and also bits of early Genesis-Peter Gabriel era-the real Genesis in my opinion. The rhythm guitar has a 60's chime, bass is strong & solid, and the lead fills are 70's style sound. Gregs drumming is definitely...

Famous Dave: would he have maximum rep, if he were to get his 50 posts?

Damn Chili, I had to try myself and he is now in the red......his hoards of followers will curse me for the rest of my days!! Well I did actually blame it on you though....if an unruly crowd shows up with torches*, you better not answer the door.......... *I think their religion is called...

    Bluegrass Instrumental

Really cool stuff indeed, the Earl Scruggs parts sound very good and immediately made me think of the Bonnie & Clyde movie soundtrack. All of the instrumental breaks sound great and the energy level stays high all the way through the song. The rhythm guitar fills in the low end quite well to...

Cool guitar, is that tailpiece/bridge a compensated type-set up for better intonation? You are gonna love that P-90, I bought a Melody Maker several years ago and the P-90 is an amazing pickup-it can scream or sound sweet and chimey! Here is the Melody Maker, with a single P-90 as...

Famous Dave: would he have maximum rep, if he were to get his 50 posts?

The only way to stop the horror is to throw True's twin Eurt into the fires of Mount Doom as soon as possible!

    New collab with Anfontan

Hey Gerry, I'm glad that you liked my parts enough to add them to the I Do song version 2.0.:) The slide is a Regal resonator guitar with a raised nut and a Stevens slide bar. Tele part is an Xaviere XV 835 with a DiMarzio Chopper-T dual blade humbucker in the bridge position. You had the...

    New Song - Texas Heat

Are the rhythm guitars on the intro both the Martin X style? They do really draw you into the song-nice riffs! I guess the main difference in our Teles is that mine has a yellow/orange sunburst, they are kind of heavy but that tone sure cuts through. Hey guitar zero, I'm in the central midwest...

    New Song - Texas Heat

I agree, either the snare is too loud or bass & kick drum is needing a boost. The drum track works nicely though, it makes me think of a cajun 2 step-a cool addition might be a keyboard part of an accordion to fit with the rest of the song. Guitars are good, especially the Martin on the songs...

Devil Within - collab with Chris

Killer tune and performances, Joe-your stacked vocal harmonies are always an amazing thing to me. And that key change during the guitar solo just pushes the song into overdrive--very, very good!!

    teisco phantom copy

Like I said, I played it and it was a wah-it didn't have the range of a cry baby pedal but it was a wah. I think a lot of these odd ball guitars were designed in Italy, the Italians are well known for bizzare styles. Here is a Vox 335 style guitar with all the same options built in-and a...

    teisco phantom copy

I believe that Ry Cooder has a vintage Stratocaster that has a Teisco pickup installed-it's one of his favorite guitars, too! The photo of the Vox is the same guitar my friend had-his was also a 12 string as well, it was a Vox Mark XII. I remember that the triangle was a hand operated wah...

    teisco phantom copy

I played with a band member that had one of these Vox teardrop guitars with about a half dozen effects built into the guitar. I do remember that the neck was not all that great though, and it went through batteries very quickly. And the triangle on the bridge is a hand operated Wah pedal!

me again, back on the cheap tele hunt

I first discovered the GFS guitars through their pickups, and with the clearance and blemish models they are hard to resist-I recently bought a blemished XV-440, it's a copy of a Les Paul Special with a mahogany set neck and body with P-90's, I play it constantly these days! And Chili, with that...

Ever have a guitar you didnt play, because it was too perfect?

I would have to say that my '92 ebony Epi Sheraton II doesn't get played nearly enough, I have had it since 1995 and there are no major dings in it yet. I've seen too many incidents with drunk club patrons causing havoc with beautiful guitars and I just decide to play it safe with the Sheraton...

What's wrong with High Pressure Laminate?

I tried one of those Martin X guitars and didn't like it at all-it was all plastic to my ears. I think formica is better on a countertop than a guitar. And I ended up with a Martin D-16, all wood and plays great!

me again, back on the cheap tele hunt

I was probably the one that got Chili interested in the GFS Teles. I played a few demos for him-and he liked the tones. I found one at a pawn shop in excellent condition, and it plays great-really has a nice high end and a Tele snap...heres a photo-
