I would pass on the ecm8000 and get the Joe Meeks JM-27. I have the ecm8000's and the Joe meek jm27's The JM-27 are used a good majority of the time as my O/H's The ecm8000's are omni and will pick up alot of the room. (But you can get good results with them as O/H's) If you want omni mics...

Do a search on this site for karma. I have not used the karma drum mic kit but I recommend them from what I read on this site. https://homerecording.com/bbs/showthread.php?t=229822&highlight=karma But I would skip getting a so called drum mic kit and just build one yourself.

The only thing wrong with the machine heads on it now is that elephant ears are lose and rattles a bit on 2 of the tuners. The gears are OK. Any suggestions on how to repair that.

I use mine on a snare also.

I am going to replace the tuners on my bass and GC has some PING 2682 machine heads. Are they any good? I cant seem to find any info on the web about them.
