Another vote on the Fostev VF160. I have 2 of them and love them for tracking. I do 99% of my mixing with reaper and audition.

Will you do your mods on other things and or people?

If you have tapes and dont know it dolby was used when recorded, what setting should be used. My deck has Dolby B, C, S, and HX-Pro.
