I had the $150 adk a-51, not sure the model. I'll look into the ADK TL/TC...right now Im narrowed down to... 1. Shure KSM44 2. Audio Technica AT4050 3. ADK TC or TL 4. Rode K2

Im thinking I'd like something thats a step up from those.

Well I have gone through some microphones in the past few months such as (vocals only): ADK A-51: I liked this one, warm and very smooth (love that) Shure KSM27: I liked this one on my voice Studio Projects B1: Didnt like this one, too thin sounding... Rode NT1A: Hate this mic, WAY too harsh...

For $500.... nothing would be a huge improvement over that card...might wanna look at some decent monitors if u dont have any right now.

Just wondering because I have an apartment and wondering should I invest in some foam to put up to help stop some of the reverb on my vocals.... I might use the temp tabs if I do get some so I dont mess the walls up.

Gotdamn@that. I'm barely making ends meet lol. Hey Tone, my shure ksm27 went defective on me today so I took it back and got the Blue Bluebird as its replacement. I'll have to hold off on the Eureka because this set me back a little. I haven't gotten a chance to use the Bluebird yet because...

Theres nothing complex about my setup lol. The most complex thing about my setup is EMU patchmix. I will be getting a Presonus Eureka in about a month or so though. Thatll step me up....I love your desk lol.

For this price range I can't be doing much worse than the Firebox as far as quality with the 1820. I guess everybody has their opinion on favorable sound though. Im also looking into the Presonus VXP. Thanks for the responses.
