I would definitely call Stienberg. Something is WRONG. SX3 projects should open in C5 every time. Like I said I do it here ALL THE TIME. Never had a problem.

Ooops. This is what you want. I just read the send/return - what cable part. For that, you use an insert cable. But to get the stereo effected guitar out, follow the above instructions.

The Yamaha rating isn't the impedance of the amp itself, it's the output at that particular impedance. Check the specs, it's probably OK at 4 Ohms. Most amps will do 4 Ohms just fine, many will do 2 Ohms.

Re you referring to glossy pop vocals or the AM radio vocal effect (super lo-fi)?

Do you have Cubase 5 or Studio 5? C5 should open up SX3 projects no problem. Do it ALL the time here.

Wow, thanks to everybody that has replied so far! The piano is a Yamaha S90 ES run into the DI's on a GR MP2-NV. I added a fair amount of verb, and a bit of EQ to them, but that's about it. About the vocals sounding uncompressed. They were actually hit pretty hard on the way in, then again...

Nice! The only thing (other than the previously mentioned HH) that I would like to hear, is a bit more of a stereo effected guitar. Great mix, and the band sounds great too!

What happens if you right click a lightningmp3 link, and then choose "save as". Do you have quicktime, or something similar installed?

Wow. This is an old thread! The vocals were tracked in a large uneven (non-parralel) room. There was quite a bit of compression at the tracking stage, and quite a bit more at the mix stage. Hope that helps, thanks for listening!
