    Moving Tracks Up/Down Keyboard Shortcut

Hey folks, Just wondering if anyone knows the key command (or if there even is one) to move/nudge an entire track up or down. Not the audio events, but the track itself. Here's a couple screen caps to help explain things more clearly. Thanks :thumbs up: Zach

    iPad Controller App for Cubase

Oh shoot, iC pro looks pretty good. I actually just wound up getting V-Control Pro; it's a little pricier but I'm still on Cubase 6 and it has (almost) enough functionality for my needs. The VNC window is awesome though - that's where it stands out. I was looking into other Apps, but V-Control...

    iPad Controller App for Cubase

Hey folks, I'm wondering if anyone here uses an iOS DAW controller with Cubase and if anyone could recommend me one. I'm looking at Liine Lemur but it's a bit pricier and probably has way more functionality than I'd ever use. I'm looking for a controller that would give me a scrub/jog wheel...

Woah dude Cubase is going nuts

Going to reformat my entire PC soon and upgrade from Cubase 6.0.7 32-bit to Cubase 7 64-bit... but in the meantime, I haven't been able to work on many projects for longer than several minutes without a crash that destroys Cubase from functioning. Well essentially I've been getting a whole...

    Br00tal Bass Drops

Thanks Loren! I'm thinking it might be a down-tuned kick of some sort, it doesn't quite sound like an 808... kind of like the kick drum just got a boost of bass, like a thud, briefly overpowering the rest of the mix... anyway, I'll keep thinking about it in the mean time :D

    Br00tal Bass Drops

Oh wow, lots of people responded, thanks guys! Well okay.. A bass drop - it's essentially like CLos said, it's where (generally) the first beat of a bar has a bass/sub bass impact, rumble, drop, whatever you want to call it, for effect, for emphasis. It's super common in electronic and metal...

    Br00tal Bass Drops

Hey folks, Got a question to ask ya.. HOW DO YOU MAKE BASS DROPS LIKE THESE!?!?! https://dl.dropbox.com/u/13786721/BoO%20Bass%20Drops.wav Doesn't sound like those mega-lame bass drops you hear in every single metalcore song now a days, it's like a quick percussive impact of bass. I can't...

    Starting a Career in Audio?

Haha, probably not, thanks Tim! Good points, it definitely all comes down to self-belief and fulfillment. I'll get some obstacles and objectives written down! I've never really done that. Yea that's what I hear Seidy, its all in the networking and standing out (in a good way haha). Thanks guys!

    Starting a Career in Audio?

Hey everyone, I had no idea where to post this, but considering that I haven't experienced a full-time job as an engineer I'm still a newbie :thumbs up: I have never explained my idea of life-long career to anyone and asked them to share their opinions on what I want to do with my life, not...

Generic remote... resets every time I open Cubase?

Hey guys, I managed to get my Axiom 61 working as a generic remote in Cubase to control the faders on the mixer. The only problem I'm having now is that every time I load the Cubase project I have to reassign the Axiom 61's faders to control the faders on the mixer in Cubase. Is there any way...

Using the Mackie 1220 to remote control faders in Cubase

Hey guys, thanks for the responses. Yeah it wasn't looking like a possibility. I figured something else out though so I'm good! :D Cheers!

Using the Mackie 1220 to remote control faders in Cubase

Hi, My school has a Mackie Onyx 1220 and I'm tech'ing a show for them. I'm wondering if it's possible to use the faders on the Mackie to control the faders in Cubase? I can't seem to find any documents on whether or not the mixer supports remote control... I'm wondering if anyone on this...

    RME Babyface... and some problems!

Hey guys, I purchased a Babyface a couple months ago and had a couple issues while trying to open the TotalMix FX and Fireface USB Settings programs on my PC. They were loaded in my task bar but I could not open them and trying to open a new window in the TotalMix FX would result in nothing...

    What VST's Do You Use?

Waves One Knob plug-ins. They have great presets too! :) Errr check out Digitalfishphones, LePou, Voxengo, TSE plugins. I get better metal guitar tones from Freeware than from products like Amplitude, Guitar Rig, Guitar Tool Rack. Although Revalver is freakin awesome.

Cubase 5.1 various problems (can't open it, can't load project, can't close it)

Any time I've ever had a major Cubase problem, it was because of a VST plug-in. Instead of uninstalling all your plug-ins, just uninstall a couple recent ones, see if that fixes anything. It's also interesting that directly killing the process doesn't work, as well as the shutting down bug...

    How to master... ambient track?

Thanks for the replies. I only received this track, it's the intro to a music video he's working on, not sure how the rest of the song follows. I did a couple things to it, mostly just bringing up the loudness. Either way the individual was happy with how it sounded. :)

    How to master... ambient track?

Hey guys, A buddy of mine asked me to master this short little intro for him. I'm relatively new to mastering and I'm wondering what you would do to this track. I've done a couple different masters on it, it's been interesting though because it's so atmospheric...

Which studio headphones should I buy?

Thanks for the input! Yeah the ATH-M50 looks very promising for its price, but the HD650 seems like my best bet. Anyone else want to share their headphone experiences? :)
