    Bright Switch

I've made a few posts lately on DIY attenuators. I'm getting down to my final decisions. I'm strongly considering going with the original design I showed you all. The two stage design. My real question comes in two parts On another site I found, they discussed making a Bright Switch to help...

    Thoughts on this DIY attenuator

Ok, so I'm getting pretty stoked to get this going. I've done a lot of looking into L-Pads. I like the idea. The only thing that scares me is this; would a 100w L-Pad be able safely handle a 40w Fender Hot Rod Deluxe? I've heard "20-25W" then I saw a guy build one for a "30w" amp. So . . . could...

    Thoughts on this DIY attenuator

All, Thank you for the responses. I'm interested, now, in this LPAD idea. I'm not 100% what it means, but I'm looking into it. Can you elaborate on this? (BTW this would be my first DIY build.) Thanks again guys.

    Thoughts on this DIY attenuator

http://www.hearditontheweb.com/images/pdf/attenuator.pdf it seems simple enough. I've never really taken on antything like this, but I have an electrical engineer friend who could help. What I'm interested in knowing is . . . Does this plan seem like it would work well? Any problems you can...

Mastered completely digital on Logic Pro stock effects...could this be radio ready?

or you could take it as He clearly said that what he hears as problematic is PROBABLY FROM THE MIX. He gave you an in depth response based on years of experience. I'd think you might be a bit more appreciative and take what he says to heart. Just my $.02

    Any Micron Users?

I have been pouring over the manual trying to figure out this question. How do I get the Alesis Micron to play multiple voices? If go to the "voice" menu and pick "Two" or "four" i don't get access to any other oscilators to creat the second or subsequent voices. I'm sure the answer is right...

    FS/FT Alesis Micron

I bought this Alesis Micron. Full Disclosure: I bought it used, but in great condition. I think I'd rather try a MicroKorg. So, I'm thinking $275 or trade for a microkorg. I will consider offers. I'll post some photos soon. It's increadibly clean and works like a charm.

    intermittent amp drop out

Sorry. I must have missed that part. So if it's the surface mounted jacks it would still be the solder joint? Or just a dirty/shoddy jack? (Is my newness to amp maint. showing yet?) The last time this happened I put it back in standby and the sound continued till I powered it all the way down...

New to the software SEQUENCER game

Sorry for the late response. Yeah, I figure I'd use SMPTE across a MIDI connection. The PPS 100 can send MTC, DIN, ETC, all across a MIDI cable. So, yeah. I figured I'd just use a computer for the sequencing, not the recording. It's weird, I don't much like using computers to record, but I'm a...

hmmmmm. Any idea where that would be? Is it something that an electronically adept friend could help with? Thank you.

    intermittent amp drop out

My newly acquired Hot Rod Deluxe is showing signs of its age. I'm a bit frusrated by this fact. Anyway, every now and then all guitar signal goes out and the amp produces loud pops, buzzes, and just noise. I can turn it off, let it chill for a few seconds, turn it back on and it's golden. Can...

    post your guitar set up...

xaviere tele clone ->fender tuner ->EHX Germanium 4 big muff -> Fender Hot Rod Deluxe ->[FX loop]Rocktron Hush -> EHX Deluxe Memory Boy ->[/loop] it's pretty basic, but i really like the sounds I'm getting. I'll probably add a tremolo pedal later, but for now I'm ok w/o it.

    Can you mix with headphones?

Sufjan Stevens first two or three records were mixed on headphones. Will it take more work? Yes. Is it do-able? Hell Yes.

    Sub-mixer Live Use

THis is what the manual says about the outputs I was using. "Main L and R Outputs These two ports will output the final stereo unbalanced line level signal sent from the main mixing bus. The primary purpose of these jacks is to send the main output to external devices, which may include power...
