    Software Question

Adobe bought the rights to Cool Edit a few years back. Adobe Audition is updated at fairly regular intervals, but I've not used it and I don't know whether it supports 64 bit systems yet. of all the DAW's, the only one I know for sure supports 64 bits is Sonar 7. And they're all a bit pricey...

Burner CD from Korg D888 w/ Ext. USB CDR

Hi Skeezee. Problem is that Korg has limited ease of transferability of the data that is created with the D888. Like I said about the post about video, that usb port is strictly for computer connection. It shows up as a hard drive on the computer. But here's something to consider: The optical...

Using a monitor for a multritrack recorder

Nope, I own a D888. You don't have a port or power to drive a video monitor. When using usb to connect to a computer the Korg appears as a separate hard drive. You can transfer your tracks to a DAW such as Sonar and do detailed editing there, but I suggest that you then transfer you edits back...

Electric Guitar needed in my budget.

Finalfury: Don't go into a store looking to cop someone else's sound. Go in to create your own sound. Go in and pick up and play every guitar/amp combination you can think of. One will sing to you. It may be the exact sound you are looking for now, it may not. I'm a strat cat but don't let...

    newbie w/a few q's

Ok, cool. So basically go barebones in the patchmix (just trim) and use Sonar's fx box to get my sound? But won't that mean that those effects will be a permanent part of the sound? I would like to have the wave file dry, so that I can tweak it later. Any way I'm going to go back through my...

    newbie w/a few q's

Hi! I'm really new to this, so please bear with me. My girlfriend and I just bought an E-mu 1616, which came with Sonar LE, among some other software. I've screwed around with demos of other versions of Cakewalk before, so I figure I'll stick with it. Anyway, why do my view...
