I just realized that i dont have a de-essing plug in, i never really needed one before, but now i do, BAD, its hip hop and the vocals are WAY up front and basically spoken. so what are some other methods (filters, eq'ing, etc...) that have the same resualt? I tried a high cut filter and it did...

id start by bringing down the presense, thatll cause big time feedback!!!! and look into a guitar with a heavy body and decent pickups, les pauls dont really feed unless you want them to!!!!!

What guitar are you using? the pick ups and body make a huge differance, and the amount of gain you THINK you need may be way to much. On top of that, to much of anything in your eq settings can cause problems, if your trying to get that heavy scooped eq sound your bass and treble are problebly...

Do you like when a guitar effect is really transparent, like you can even name the brand of the pedal being used, or do you like it when things are really twisted and it takes on a more synthy sound, and it could really be anything makeing that noise. I prefer the latter, but just wondering...

Pretty much everyone said in one way or another what i was thinking, that if he (the owner and head engineer) is a good dude, then he will take my efforts and remember them when its time to bump up the next intern to a paid posistion. and so far , he seems to be exactly that kind of person...
