    Drum recording. PLEASE GIVE FEEDBACK.

Just the kind of input I need. Are you a drummer? Sounds like you are speaking of the kit more than the mix?

The $300 Monitor Comparison (pick one)

I bought a pair of tannoy Passive 6's and a peavey rack mounted amp and love the combo. Paid $399 for the monitors and $100 for the amp 2 years ago...the monitors are around $250 now... I know you can fit this system in your room. And I know you will love the sound. Another thing to consider: we...

Thank you for the reply. The next song on my ReverbNation site is the drums in context, unless you got sidetracked by JFrankParnell's mixes....Judging from your comments on the kick I think you may have....go here. http://www.reverbnation.com/jasonchinchen#

Mixing advice/feedback please. song: "let's get there"

I like the feel. The drums seem a bit funky and jumpy at first but then I got used to them I like the buildup...and the layering. cool song. The mix is not terrible either. Im listening on decent monitors and it seems balanced well. Pretty good! Now get a vocalist to really make it shine.

Thanks for replying. Yea, the kit isnt special, but Robs not a bad drummer so that helps! JFP: I take back what I said about the kick on your mix. Mine has more of the oomph here on the Tannoys. Yours sound kind of hollow but higher in EQ than mine. I hear more noise floor in yours too. But...

Thanks for the input, I just put up a snipit with the scratch band on the song. Take a listen... How would YOU get more oomph in the kick? The mic is inside the drum which has no outside head and is mated to another kick drum with no head to create a tube. The whole thing is encased in a...

We are gearing up to record a 5 song EP for promotion and fun. The style is acoustic rock/adult contemporary... I was hoping some of you would give me feedback on this drum track. Wondering about the mix and sounds of individual drums. This is pretty straight without any EQ or plugins. ( The...
