The only way to get sound out of the Delta is to hook up speakers to to the Delta Outs. You CAN do this by rerouting the Delta outs into the Soundblaster, but I wouldn't suggest it. To get Cool Edit to record...Go into your Cool Edit audio devices settings and make sure the Delta is selected at...
I have a 4-Track (An old Tascam Porta)
I never really used it much,
It was MUCH easier for me to get into recording digital.
I'm more of a computer guy myself.
And to get it to sound decent
I had to double the speed
And use the pitch correction knob to the highest setting.
I had read somewhere...
When I first started recording...
I used Magix Music Studio Deluxe 6...
It was wonderful for beginning with recording.
The new version (2005) is ten times better (from what I hear)
Than what I was using... and it's still only like $80.
The only thing I didn't really like about it was...
It was...
In general, I use 4 tracks.
Kick, Snare,
2 "overheads" which are not really overhead at all.
I place these in a pseudo XY formation above the kick drum,
About half way up the rack toms.
One aimed toward the snare the other toward the floor tom.
I'm always in Phoenix... This is my home... Hehe.
Actually I'll be down in your vicinity later today,
I have to pick up my drummer at 7th Ave and Camelback.
I'm assuming that you're saying the results would be similar?
So how does Conservatory in Mesa pan out, in your opinion?
Not that I want to go there or anything, I'm just curious...
P.S. I'm in Phoenix too, and have (on a few occasions)
Picked up your flyer at Zia. I wish I could afford studio time... hehe.
Hmm... odd. I had a similar problem here at work... It was with the integrated audio card and was simply that the Audio cable wasn't connected from the CD-ROM to the Motherboard... I know that's not the case here though...
