Yeah. The gtr as recorded. All I was referring to is getting it the best possible, up front, for the context.
Just a bit of EQ here and there. For distorted gtr, I always EQ out several DB at 2350 hz, narrow BW. Those frequencies hurt my ears.
There's no substitute for getting it right when tracking. IMO it's a bit fizzy but not overly. When the tone is scooped like yours, the top end will pop out and maybe seem overbearing on its own, but in context it may work.

Thanks. Yeah I have a Legacy that I really like. I find it better for leads work though. The rhythm tones seem a bit stiff and dark, whereas this seems to fit the bill for leads.
It's often the first and only recommendation and put out as the fix of fixes. I track metal gtr often and the gain should be set for context, not as a fix.
Don't fall for the Lower gain than Live is Required BS.
