Yeah. The gtr as recorded. All I was referring to is getting it the best possible, up front, for the context. Just a bit of EQ here and there. For distorted gtr, I always EQ out several DB at 2350 hz, narrow BW. Those frequencies hurt my ears.

There's no substitute for getting it right when tracking. IMO it's a bit fizzy but not overly. When the tone is scooped like yours, the top end will pop out and maybe seem overbearing on its own, but in context it may work. Is this better or worse... lightsandshapes_mmt.mp3

What do I do if after I've turned it down 1/3 it sounds thin and weak and the tone's lost its balls and attack?

The M90 is a lot like the Legacy with the dark and dense tone. Thanks for checking...

Thanks. Yeah I have a Legacy that I really like. I find it better for leads work though. The rhythm tones seem a bit stiff and dark, whereas this seems to fit the bill for leads.
