    question for you keyboard folks

You're right, I shouldn't say MOST pianists, I guess, me and a handful of other's I know. I guess I don't find them sluggish, especially compared to Casio's line. I'm so used to playing Yammy's that maybe I've just grown quite accustomed to their feel. I did sell them though for quite some...

    CME UF-7 Midi Controller - $260 shipped

It's on eBay, $299.99 + $45.00 for shipping. I have a best offer available but wouldn't take less than $260.00 plus shipping from an eBay buyer. My friends at HR BBS can take it for $260 shipped. USA only. Let me know, and I will cancel the eBay auction. Thanks!

    recording on laptop

Yeah, as Hard2Hear said, just rip the tracks from the cd, in Cubase there should be an "import from CD option" under File.

    recording on laptop

Also, the Lexicon unit is a great unit. I use it for live use with NI's Komplete bundle. If latency is occuring it is usually your computer specs, and how well it works with the audio driver, not whether you are using USB or Firewire. Definately FW is a must for recording over a few tracks at...

    recording on laptop

This is getting off on a whole different tangent, and some may disagree, but you may wish to consider a different recording program. I worked at GC for quite some time and noticed that people new to computer recording found Cubase LE very difficult to record with. I have experience with most...

better than an MPC, Motif, Triton, or Fantom!!! What could it be!?!?

Well, I just got an Ensoniq Mirage for $40 that came with about 30 sample disks. This thing is really a hoot, and I've found some quite usable sounds on the disks. Especially the lofi drum samples. And some of the strings actually sound really good. Programming is about as difficult as a $50...

    question for you keyboard folks

As a pianist, she may find polyphony relevant. I use a P70 and love it, but I do notice drop outs when sustained. I like to really ride the sustain pedal though so that does make the notes add up quite quickly. 128 polyphony would be much better. Most pianist do like the feel of Yamaha's...

    WTB: Ensoniq Mirage sample disks

Sorry for the double post, I just figure not everyone here may read the For Sale Forum. Anyways, if you have some of these around collecting dust I will take them at $1.00/disk. Looking for drum stuff especially. PM me or email me at franky929 AT gmail DOT com with a list of whatchya got...

hmm yamaha p70 or a pc88 on ebay?

I'll throw a vote for the P70, My only complaint is that there is not 1/4" outs on it. Just 1/8" stereo outs, which I've managed to deal with. It's super light which is great for giggin'. I've noticed that it scuffs real easily too. It's a weird finish or paint they use on it. That doesn't...

    Big Keyboard Predicament!

Prokeys 88 probably has the worst keybed ever! Seriously you'll never want to play the thing. I bought one because of all the control it had, but I wanted to throw it out the window after playing it for ten minutes. I own a P70 that I use as a controller. You'll like the feel on that.

Looking for small moog type synth....

You could always find a Roland Juno on eBay for well under $500. Different than a Moog in sound, but crazy tweakableness, and super easy, fun, and educational if you're new to synthesis.

    Just a sequencer?

Oh god, tell me about it!! Anything that I sequence in Ableton Live, I go through many many times in rehearsal, making sure it won't crash. Go to stage.... "fuck it guys, I'm just going to play the piano parts on this one!" Granted I'm running multiple instances of NI's FM8, Absynth, and...

    Live synth

haven't been reading all of the replies here, BUT, I'd give a thumbs up on the SH201. It's a real synth, that's infinitely tweakable. I think it uses analog modelling, which isn't as cool as having a true analog synth, but really how hard is it to digitally create good sine, square, saw, and...

    Big Keyboard Predicament!

Check out Electrik Piano by Native Instruments. It's software but by far some of the best electric pianos I've ever heard. And I've played and owned several Wurly's and Rhodes! The Fantom is much more than a sound module. If you don't plan on using the sampling, sequencing and synthesis on...

    Digi 003 NIB

fixed, thanks for pointing that out. I'm not sure about eBay's policy about cancelling an auction. I believe it's that you can't do it twelve hours before an auction end if there are bids on it. The one guy bidding on it is a zero feedback bidder, whom I have asked to contact me to confirm...
