    Getting a Ringo sound...

The other thing about Ringo, is he played a right handed set, left handed. Most of his fills go low to high. It is needed to get his true sound.

So what is required in any serious guitar collection

What axes do you collectors/players think is needed in any good guitar collection. In any collection I think a Les Paul and a strat are required. For a serious collection I think you need some vintage Gibsons and Fenders.

Why the big change in Drum sets?

Judy is a 1974 150DC. Walnut with no scratches. The real lady of the group is Roxanne. She is a 12 string SG and the only one in the world. Gibson built it for me last year. They actually had to cut a custom neck for her. That young lady plays like a six, and has the sweetest sound that you...

Why the big change in Drum sets?

Yea, and she howls with the best. That's why she is named Judy....lol Nothing better than a hollow body and a 100 watt Marshall. It'll jump out of your hands.

Why the big change in Drum sets?

Well here is the my Les Paul Black Beauty. And by the way, she loved my Big Kit. She says that size does count. So I think she votes for a larger kit. Lucky I had one, huh.

Why the big change in Drum sets?

Actually, guitar solos don't exist because of the style of todays music. It's all about being loud and not necessarialy good. A kit is a kit, large or small. It's all about stick control. I love playing my kit. It's 7 toms, 6 crash, 2 splash and other stuff. But when I go out, I only take 4...

Does your guitar have a name?

Of course I named my guitars. How do they know if you are talking to them if you don't. http://home.comcast.net/~bonrox/guitars/gut_inv.htm I even named my drums Brittany. What can I say, I was inspired (see attached).

    marshall jcm, jtm, 800,900,2000 ???

I actually prefer my 2000 tsl 100 to my mesa trip rect. While I like using both, I can dial in a good sound very easily with the TSL. But that is me, and the only way you can tell if it's right for you is to play them. So go to a shop, tell them to tape the windows, and crank it up.

    Mounting a piezo pickup

You can also try making sure that the saddle is flat. I had to sand mine down on one accoustic to get a decent sound. The Piezo element is not glued in. If you just push up on the wire, it will probably just pop out. If it quits working or changes, after you change the strings, your saddle is...

Guitar for installing Roland GR-20 Pickup

I installed mine on my yamaha accoustic (http://home.comcast.net/~bonrox/guitars/gr09.htm). I like the accoustic sound with the synth behind it. You may be able to pick up a roland ready strat off ebay for cheap. Just a piece of advice, the pickup height is extremely critical if you want to get...

    Schecter Guitars -- Opinions?

Well, I have a C-1 hollowbody and I love it. I have some very high end gibsons and fenders ( http://home.comcast.net/~bonrox/guitars/gut_inv.htm ) and I do like the way the schector plays. For the money, I don't think you can beat them.

    Cab ohms vs. amp watts

Dude, when they rate amps, the sensitivity or efficiency or number of speakers have nothing to do with it. The only thing they measure is the load on the amp. Basic electronics formula E=I*R so 16 volts = 2 amps * 8 ohms ------ 16 * 2 = 32 watts or 8 volts = 2 amps * 4 ohms -------- 8 * 2 = 16...

    Cab ohms vs. amp watts

The problem is that things are not equal. An 8 ohm speaker will take twice the power to move it the same distance, as a 4 ohm speaker does. This is what 'load' means.

    Most Overrated/Overpriced Electric Guitars

No, that covers it just fine. The people that say 'they charge to much' are also the people that want a lot of money to do an insignificant job. You guys just don't realize how much it costs or what goes into products today. If you want something mass produced, get a jap strat. If you want...
