it probably would be decently easy to mod the mic if you were willing to have a nice transformer duct taped to the base of the mic. otherwise, you might have trouble fitting it in the case.. dont know cause i havent seen one yet. however, i'll probably get one... very interested i am.

my guess is that it is gonna have a perfectly decent transducer in a really good case hooked up to a totally shitty transformer. there really isnt much to a ribbon mic, and there is no reason why you couldnt get a factory in china to make one for next to nothing, but there is no getting around...
