It's cool, I like the finger synched drum track.

    The Way She Smiles

You have some issues regarding consistent narrative position as well as some simple grammar as mentioned by Armistice. The lead synth patch is just plain awful. It reduces the rest of the music to obvious midi which is a pity because the melody is good and your voice isn't bad. Pity also that...

Tell me everything you know about THIS bass sound

The Wrecking Crew didn't spend much time rehearsing.

Tell me everything you know about THIS bass sound

Carol's famous for pick and a picking style (as an ex guitarist) PLUS simply (?) using the notes of the chord. This is the 2nd one I'm after...I've thought about felt picks, etc etc. Def flat strings but what else?

    Equalizing an old cassette recording

Which noise removal did you use? The process can be quite damaging if not deftly handled - and even then deftly handled may leave issues. I'll wait for more info before suggesting.

Tell me everything you know about THIS bass sound

I did read, years ago, that there was a cut of 6dB at 100Hz, a boost of the same at 200 and, sometimes, a little peak at 3 KHz but that sounds too "tweaked" for the gear at the time. I do know that 100 - 200 thing works well. def flats & fingers though. I'd like to recreate Carol Kayes tone - or...

another song for the man up stairs

Post streamer links to your stuff. Folk are less inclined to download from someone they don't know. Your lack of information aand subject matter will make things difficult enough so use the forum's player, (does that still exist?), Soundcloud, Youtube or Soundclick etc.

    Scarlett 2i2 Studio Bundle

My wife bought me that bundle a year ago - Xmas I think. I already had a Scarlett 6in but she'd forgotten about it. I quickly upgraded the bundle with, as Bobbsy suggests, an AT2020 mic I use Reaper & the Scarlett likes it, and I already had a pair of Sennheisers. Now I have a quite useful back...

2nd "Who We Are" track from last Thursday's recording session - "Happens Every Time"

That you'll find is way too low in the mix. Personally I don't like the bass tone at all - too much dirt and scooped. Cool rock song though.

    Good Evening...

I love the mellotron like synths at the end. There seems to be a bit a a halo around notes in the intro but other than that I think it's very cool. Well done ROb - I'd like to hear something from you that gives some space for the new bass to shine though.

    Preview of our upcoming album

The track lacked dynamics and the "solo" had no melodic thread to follow/hold onto. The backing sounds just like a backing - as in karaoke or those games where folk pretend to play guitar. Variation is sometimes a useful thing - even Helmet used it.

    Classic Rock Tune #2

The vox remind me, in some ways, of Bourke Shelley from Budgie. It's a good 70s sound.

    Island Bay (v2)

Bulls, Cool, vocals are a tad loud in sports - that makes the essing a bit annoying as it ice-picks my skull in headphones. I love the bass or bottom end guitar section/solo. Good mix mate, deal with the vox and you've a cold classic.
