    Right, so, 1 cable (one end small jack to laptop line in, 2xrca jacks on the other end to VS1680 Aux1 output) then what? connect them using the midi cables as well? Sorry if i sound really thick, this is all new to me.

    VS1680 can't hear a thing?

    Using my guitar plugged straight into the guitar jack socket on my Roland VS1680, i record a rhythm track onto track 8 ok. I plug a mic into input 1 to put a vocal down and when I press record and select track 1, the signal still comes through but the sound has gone? Anyone any ideas??

    Which combo shall I buy?

    It gets fixed everytime but after 4-6 months of on the road it breaks down again. Ive head it 3 years, it cost me £780 and I've spent £490 on repairs and £150 on 3 valve changes. Rather expense to run me thinks.
