New feature at Blue Bear Sound

Indeed - sounds good :) Pity it's an MP3, but I can get the general idea of the drum tone and they are nice :D Ah well, I'm in awe man :)

New feature at Blue Bear Sound

Yet another thumbs up... Indeed - top notch stuff :) I noticed in your "Recording" pictures you did drums in what appears to be the brightest room (in sound, not in lighting, although the drummer would probably have to have the best view of what he's doing :D). Do you tend to record drums in a...

    Argh! Violations....

OK, this is a really odd problem. I'm using a trial version of Sound Forge Noise Reduction, but I'm having problems getting it to work: SOME waves just wont let me try at all - it reports some kind of "Access Violation" Others will let me try, and then report "Win32 Error..... Not enough space...

Sing under, directly at, or a little above the mic?

I'll take advantage of this thread to pose a question. I've been using a LD condenser to mic my voice, and the tone is fine, except it seems to pick up something in my voice that it doesn't like, and produces a kind of... almost hissy sound (not nice enough to be called "air"). Someone did a...

Problem using external preamp with M-audio Omni I/O

Actually, now I think about it, we did try a stereo adapter as well, so I'm not so sure thats the problem now :( Ah well

Problem using external preamp with M-audio Omni I/O

Hmmm yeah the adapter is Mono..... so that could well be a problem. The thing is though, the options I listed above were BOTH going from Line out of the VTB-1 to the Omni (I never used them both at the same time, they were just the two things I tried). Would the guitar cable, being unbalanced...

Problem using external preamp with M-audio Omni I/O

Well I guess thats a possibility, I am thick enough :D. OK - I used: 1) A "non-balanced" guitar lead, in other words, we had a spare guitar lead hanging around thats 1/4" 2) A "balanced" lead (TRS) but that had 1/8" at one end so I had to use an adapter in order to use it with the Omni I'm...

Problem using external preamp with M-audio Omni I/O

Yep. I am doing so. I guess it probably involves cables, but can cables really lose like 50-60% of sound?? Anyway, thanks for your help :)

Problem using external preamp with M-audio Omni I/O

Hi, I'm having a problem with using the Studio Projects VTB-1 with the M-audio Omni I/O. I've been running a SP B1 into the Omni preamps, and the sound levels are to be expected (have to turn the knob to about half way in order to get decent vocal levels), but as soon as I try and use the VTB-1...

Mics I'm Totally Spoilt For Choice.

Cool, looking forwards to hearing the results :) Remember, use both the C451 and C414 at the same time on guitar, they'll produce a really nice stereo sound :)

    another cheap Vocal mic question

Incidently, I like the sound I get using the B1 on my voice, although that may be just lucky!
