Hey Chris, I agree, that's a huge problem with the cheaper Lo-trs trems. The "pro" trems are a lot better to handle. I just went out and got an S-470 with the ZR trem and that solved EVERYTHING! I love it and I'm NEVER out of tune. You can drop D tune with no probs. Breaking strings causes...

I'm with Mixmkr.....I don't have a GT-8, but I have the GT-6. I am amazed at what it really can do once you crack the book on it and get to know it. I also love the distortions on it although at Church I don't use that. At home recording, everthing is direct and the distortion sounds great...

I agree...no speaker modeling can beat a true amp. but.....it's not as bad as what your making it. Just my opinion.

I would most definitely recommend the GT-6! I've had one now for a couple years although, when I bought it....it was newer and more expensive! I love it. There is so much tweeking you can do with the sounds...you'll never get bored, and when you think you have...you have quite a few speaker...

Ibanez S-470 --> Boss GT-6 --> BR1180. Direct and it sounds pretty good. Thats what people have told me. May not be "Amazing" or anything but, the people I have had listen to it say they were pleasantly surprised.

Just down stroke picking in some instances gives you a little bit edgier sound, but why try to play as fast as you can only using downstrokes? Like others have said, it's not efficient at all. Plus alternate picking really smoothes things up. I have some wrist motion but my thumb and index...
