Good guitar sound.. can i ask the signal chain?
The snare is a bit loud and the splash? (cymbal on the right) seems to decay quite odd.
This is really good work, very close just needs some minor tweaks
Sorry to hear that, good drummers are hard to come by and good friends much harder. The mix sounds great although i would prefer less click in the bass drum (but its not really my genre). I would say definately get it mastered, its not gonna be a waste.

This a bit of an odd song.. im trying to make it work more as a whole piece rather than two things mushed together. I plan on extending the electronic part at the end by a little part, i would hope it would stay under 4 minutes :)
So...
it sounds quite sunny day real estate.. i like. I wanna hear the vocals with it :D
I do like how its roomy but i think gaining a bit more clarity rather than credability with mix may bring it all together nicely :)
fiirstly take the bbe thing off, it was created to compensate for tape and when used loses all midrange.
I am wondering whether this is a tracking or mixing issue, would it be posible to post the raw drum tracks?
im not too familiar with this genre of music so ill just say what i hear :)
The guitars sound good, meaty while defined. The delayed guitar in the breakdown seems a tad too bright. Im not a fan of the kick drum sound (but it is typical of the genre).
Overall i think it sounds really good (didnt...
This is a song that a friend recorded at my studyo (not quite a study not quite a studio):

There seems to be a large difference between the intro and the end in loudness(mainly due to the arrangement). Should i leave it, compress/limit the mix...
well done, this is pretty much the best thing ive heard on here in a while. Its a shame no1 has looked at it, progressive on this board means some guy has a wank on his guitar over a midi beat.
mix wise, its pretty good although i would like to hear more snare.
Throught this whole board everytime a piece of high end gear comes up theres a motto "the sounds in the iron". SO if this is true running audio through a nice 1:1 transformer would impart this character on the track.(see where im going here?)
Why not build a box of nice transformers and run a...
