All the sounds seem well picked up, but i think these things stand out to me: The toms have absolutely no sustain, its all attack. Possibly you gated them too hard? The kick drum its really thin and weak, i know your probably boosting at 4khz for more attack in the mix but i think your lacking...

to be honest i find the mix quite faitguing, i want to listen the rest but i really have to stop it almost feels like im on an aeroplane.. yucky im guessing less compression is needed

akg 414 - Workhorse mic (im currently saving for a pair) or possibly a nice dynamic, shure sm7, ev re20 would be useful for what your recording especially as the rooms untreated.

right i listen to a fair bit of post hardcore (blanket term for this style) the singer is way out of his vocal range, it sounds wrong. Most of the singers in this genre sing this high naturally so he sounds really strained. Mixwise its pretty good

the guitar part is vaguely similar to a turin brakes song off "the optimist lp".. i dont have it with me so i cant tell you the exact track. It doesnt sound to the point where u ripped it off.

two AKG 414's would be a good idea (possibly too expensive). They are a very well respected as OH mics and also a true vocal microphone(accurate and detailed). If you got a pair of those, they definately wouldnt be the reason for home recorded sounding tracks :)

erm the first two tracks are distorting, this may have been a tracking error or having the mixdown too loud but i find it really distracting, and overall makes me thing the quality is much lower than it is

the vocals in the verse sound like the bloke from silverchair. With the vocal melody i dont like when you go down after a held note, it sounds odd to me. With the cheesyness try using some different sourced samples, they pretty much sound from the same drum machine... perhaps a more raw snare...

search "rigid fibreglass" :) The recording is really verb'y, but it sounds like youve got a good natural sounding room.
