IMHO, it's got to be the Godin LGX-SA. You've got 2 humbucking pickups, piezo pickups, and Roland synth access. What more could you need ? You can get virtually any sound you want. At least it's all I need (although I do have other guitars that I need as well - a Tele, a couple Martins, etc.)...

A used Yamaha SPX90II may be the ticket for rev, delay, flange and phase. Those effects are good and useful. Haven't used the compressor much, but it is there. Selectable +4/-10 as well. mike

What needs to happen to realign the particles is to expose the tape to a strong magnetic field, and slowly collapse the field. Some bulk erasers do that for you, other (like the old one I have), you must activate the electromagnet, then slowly pull the tape out of the field. Takes a few tries to...

Are you sure the output of the ART is stereo ? I would use a mono 1/4" jack out of the ART, splitting the mono up into 2 channels with a Y adapter, and recombining these at the stereo line input on your sound card (requiring another adapter). Or, if you really must use the (very) noisy mic...
