A mic cannot pick up what isn't there to begin with. Try a different drum, different heads, different tuning first. Imo, if you want a fat snare sound, get a fat sounding snare drum.
FWIW, I owned both and sold the RNC. It's a good compressor, but I prefer the sound of the RNLA for those situations where I want to track with compression. If I were using them for mixing in the analog realm, my opinion might be different.
1. Does it have to be acoustic-electric? The electronics in a cheap A/E aren't really worth the increased price, imo. You'd be better off spending the difference on a nicer guitar. Since you're just learning, I'm presuming you won't be gigging with it. If you need to use it live, mic it or buy a...

Definitely check out the K Customs. The Fast Crashes and Session Crashes are a little more shimmery, but still tonally complex. The Dark Crashes are great, but might be a little gongy for you. I also like the 18" A Custom Fast Crash. The one I have is fast and bright when struck hard, but has a...
That unit appears to be a phantom power supply only, not a preamp. At the bare minimum, you should look at the ART Tube MP or Behringer MIC100 preamp with phantom power. The mic connects to the pre with an XLR-XLR cable and then, depending on the preamp outputs, would connect to your soundcard...
If you're referring to the reverb plugins that come included with cubase, I'd say none. There are far better free VST reverbs out there and, if you're willing to pay a little, quality can go up even further.

The M-Audio Fast Track USB is cheap, but I couldn't tell you if it is "good" or not. Plus, I don't think it has phantom power, so it would not work for a condenser mic without an external phantom supply. You might also want to look into the Line 6 Toneports.
The "best" mic in the world is useless if it doesn't suit your voice. Figure out your budget and go test out a bunch, or find a shop with a good return policy that will let you take a few home and return the ones you don't like.
