Price Change Alright lowering this to get the ball rolling hopefully. Outright buying the MPC and upgraded will be lowered to a straight up $825 fully shipped. I definitely would much rather trade for a few things that I am looking for, so please look around your studio and see if you don't...

    Mesa Boogie

Thanks for the responses guys, very helpful. The info on the mesa preamp is definitely want I wanted to know how to do. So basically you would just get that if you had another amp, or at least one of the options would be to do that. Will definitely check out all of my options once I look this...

    guitar cab for recording

So I'm a little confused about this. Do they have a built in mic in this thing or do you set it up then just close it all up? Definitely sounds like a good idea but stuff like this I'm always a little hesistant.

    Mesa Boogie

Ok I should clarify that I don't need it to rip it at 2343432342 decibels. I just need something that I can crank up and get a really heavy tone to play a lot of heavy breakdown stuff and still have the clarity to rip the lead lines and dual solos and all of that fun stuff. By saying I like...

    Mesa Boogie

I must say that I have always loved the mesa boogie tone on guitars. Lately I know they have been blown up with a lot of bands that I do not like but I still would like to cop one. I would mostly want it for recording purposes and occasionally to jam around with. I know everyone sports the...

    F/S or F/T - MPC 1000

Hey guys been lurching for about a month and have really liked this website out of all the ones I've checked out so I figured I would go here first since there is a more community vibe. I am looking to sell my MPC 1000 since I was thinking of going the hardware route to make beats but I just...

    Monitor Stands?

The base length and the width of the speakers look like they might be bigger than the actual base of the speaker stands. I'm just afraid they wouldn't be too stable. And if anyone would like to give me a little more detail as to how exactly you made your speakers I would appreciate that as well.

    Monitor Stands?

Gorty- If I could pull that look off I would definitely make those. Hell I would even make some for my tv speakers as well. Any info on how exactly you went about that would rule. Thanks again man. Lt. Bob- Thanks for the links to all those sites, I never really thought about checking...

    Monitor Stands?

Oh yea, and if anyone has pics of the stands that they made themselves I'd be interested to see what they look like. Thanks dudes.

    Monitor Stands?

I absolutely suck at making stuff on my own unless two things are present, a good step by step list of what i need to do and tons of pictures. but if you guys have that or would at least be willing to walk me through it I would love that. As long as they look pretty solid and I will feel...

    How to mix two together??

Post a beat. I would love to hear this hotness. No one is good at something in 2 hours, what a joke, especially throwing together 4 of them in that timeframe. So go ahead.

    For all the metal heads

Yes before all of the crapola was posted I do want to thank you guys for answering my question. And I definitely would think it would help for your not so tight sounding bands that can't be dead on throughout a whole song. Good stuff, any other tips would be appreciated. Thanks again guys.

    How to mix two together??

Something tells me he will make crappy beats for about a month or two then completely give up after that. So I wouldn't worry about him biting a program. It does piss me off that so many people do that, then just don't think about all the time and money it took to create an intense program...

    For all the metal heads

So can I assume that basically double micing an amp is for the guitarist that can be spot on with double tracking. I understand you can change amps and get different tones, but let's be honest. Just moving another mic a few inches away on the same speaker will give it tons of different tone...

    Monitor Stands?

I am looking for a cheap pair of monitor stands to hold 2 8" monitors. I have seen the junky on stage stuff that I really wouldn't trust to hold up but everything else is like 200 dollars which I think is amazing. Any brand or something you use that is more reasonable?

    For all the metal heads

I see on most metal boards about how most engineers mic up at least 2 mics on a guitar cab. I understand that in metal you really need that thick heavy tone, but my question is...why do they just not retrack a few times? It seems like it is more work to stay in phase and be able to blend them...
