I use the Sm Pro Audio PR8e preamps and like them but I'm no expert..

keep us posted.. I've given up on this.. M-audio support just told me lookup a sounonsound article... No joy though.

i'd agree to find someone interesting who is really only a cover artist they need to have a unique/incredible voice and a lot of charisma (the musicians are interchangable) to catch my attention.. e.g. again johny cash..

Another fan of the MSH1s as overheads here... had to pay for mine but they were on a sale so cheap as chips!! Got a pair of MSH1Ks too to use on toms but found them waaaaaaaaaay too hot.. recently got some attenuators from naiant so gotta give this another try.. I'll post some samples when I get...

I'd recommend a sonor rather than just going for gretch/tama based on name. Go to a shop where you can hear these brands if at all possible..

Great song great sound.. IMHO the kick needs a touch more click and less lows as mentioned above, and maybe push the snare a touch or a touch more crack to it?? Great work though!

Mad song, love it!! Bit too squashed though methinks when the double kick kicks in. Excellent vocals!

Cheers for all the comments and tips and compliments people. I hear ye on the buried vocals. .that's mostly down to me doing the singing and not being a singer just dabbled in backing in the past so need to build my confidence a bit and buy autotune! ;) And intonation or gtr performance probs...
