    mxl v67g package for $139...

Yeah, the case is nice I suppose but depends on your needs. I agree with you that if you add up the components of these 'packages' it's not as big a deal as one might first think.

    mxl v67g package for $139...

This is the 'green' one. I've seen the 'black' one for $69 but not the green one. This is the one that was going for like $150 just a few months ago. It goes for $99 these days.

    What A Deal!

Yes they do but someone from another forum mentioned that they wouldn't sell it to him for that price. You can give it a shot. Maybe he just talked to a dumbass but he said he called twice.

    What A Deal!

I think the sale on the 603s is over. Someone mentioned the stereo set is $129 though. Be specific. Make sure they are talking the matched pairs with shockmounts & case.

    Marshall 603 for 49 bucks

Has shreve audio tried to bait and switch anyone on this? Someone from another forum is saying they wanted to sell him a 2001. Also said that they wanted $70 for the 603s in spite of what the webpage says. I thought that sounded pretty strange. I ordered one myself the other day for $49.98...

    B1 or a B3

I would say it depends on how critical having an exact match for stereo is to your recordings. I would say get the B3 now, use it with your current B1 for stereo, and pick up a 2nd B1 whenever you got a spare $80 lying around. Even then, your B1's won't necessarily be a 'matched pair'. good...

You can save yourself about $100 going ebay on this. I wouldn't be hesitant about getting this piece of equipment used.

    Which mic for Acoustic Guitar?

I have both the Marshall & Oktava mics. There are subtle differences but you can basically flip a coin. They're both fine mics. The Marshall IS $30 cheaper.

    New studio, need mic help..

Hmmm.... You're probably gonna need a minimum of 4 mics on the drums (kick, snare, stereo overheads). A shure sm57 could be used as both a snare mic and also to mic your guitar amp. A pair of Studio Projects B1s could be your stereo overheads as well as being a fairly decent vocal mic. Not...

What was your first LD mic?

CAD E100 although I don't think that it's technically an LD. Have an SP C1 now. Much better.

    Mic recommendations for acoustic guitar

hmmm. sounds like you should be able to get the job done with the mics you have already. maybe it is the guitar, who knows? I'd see if I could try a couple of other guitars with the same mics. Other than that, just keep playing with the placement. bob
