    "Michaels House", brand new tune

Hi there, Nice song production wise. Caught from the start, which is good and kept my interest. It's begging for some Yes type vocals to me. But I will focus on the mix: - The drums are a little dry to me and need some more compression and maybe some clipping to bring up the loudness...

    Magic Pill - Alternative/Grunge Song

Hi there, many thanks for the feedback! I made a remix this morning to fix some things I thought could be improved also taking your feedback into account. There are so many frickin' tracks (a lot of layering) that I had to do some more automation and EQing so everything sits better...

    Magic Pill - Alternative/Grunge Song

Thanks for the feedback - sorry the song was not your creed, and of course this forum should stay a music forum, but your rant goes to the song meaning and I think is very relevant. I do not live in the USA now (I did when Opiates were flooded on the market in the early 2000s and so I saw the...

    I Won't Go! - Alternative Rock Song

Hi all, Wrote and recorded this song over this weekend. The song is inspired by what's going on in Venezuela. Second verse still needs to be recorded. Feedback on the mix is most welcome: I Won't Go! by Jonathan Linton 4 | Free Listening on SoundCloud I WON’T GO! (Words by Jonathan Linton...

Wolf's Skin - Alternative Rock Song

Hi all, Wrote and recorded this song over the past weekend. The song name deliberately does not match the chorus text - I thought it was a different touch. Feedback on the mix is most welcome: Wolf's Skin by Jonathan Linton 4 | Free Listening on SoundCloud WOLF’S SKIN (Words by Jonathan...

Take Your Life - Alt. Rock Song

Hi all, Many thanks for the feedback! Direct and honest - as I like it! Your critique is very helpful to refine the mix and performance. I do need to get more used to the Floyd to play in tune. The guitars are played through a Kemper. I'll definitely apply your suggestions in the next...

    " So Cold " .. I could use some feedback .

Like the vibe. The rim shot and drums need a little ambience to me. Also the kick drum needs to be brought up in the mix. Vocals sounds great. The bass needs more presence - it is a little lost. EQ and maybe some maxxbass or RBass? Great production! Keep or sweep, but keep it up!

Take Your Life - Alt. Rock Song

Hi all, Wrote this song on a guitar with a Floyd Rose I got for Christmas - Harley Benton SC-Custom FR. Inspired me to write a song on it. Feedback welcome: Take Your Life by Jonathan Linton 4 | Free Listening on SoundCloud TAKE YOU LIFE (Words by Jonathan Linton, Music by Jonathan Linton)...

    Original pop punk song

Missing bass and bottom end. Agree with Bruthish , the guitar tones are good but the rhythm guitars in the chorus could be backed off a touch - like 1-2dB. Snare could also pop out more to me in the chorus. Maybe try a clipper? Production wise, where there are gaps with just the keyboards -...

Them Bones - Vocal and Rhythm Guitar Cover

Hi there, Thanks for the feedback - my absolute favourite band and a great track. You can rip the stems from Rockband - there are various sites where you can download these. It is just drums, vocals, bass and guitar (so 4 stems). What did you mean by being bemused by some of the mixing...

Them Bones - Vocal and Rhythm Guitar Cover

Hi there, Thanks for the feedback. After a car listen, I agree there is some harshness there in the vocals - some dynamic EQ or multiband compression together with some vocal riding seems in order. Also the vocals need to come down a bit I think. I find the original guitar tone a little too...

Them Bones - Vocal and Rhythm Guitar Cover

Hi all, Decided to mess around with my Kemper and see how close I could get to the "Dirt" vocal and guitar sound. Today's handywork - vocal and rhythm guitar cover of "Them Bones" by Alice in Chains. That took quite some effort vocally! RIP Layne... The mix is different from the original. In...

    New track - Absynth

Nice track. Love the thick synths and 80's vibe! The drums sound a little too mono to me. Maybe some more reverb - in the 80s you could never have too much reverb. You could also try panning the hihat alternatively L & R and adding a shaker. Listen to Axel F to get an idea - that makes the...

    Silence - alternative pop rock

Really cool song. Vocals are great! Nice warm tone. The progression is simple but the vocals pull this song through and make it very catchy including the harmony that adds some spice. The layering of synths and different guitars parts are also very powerful. I agree with the others - the...

    On y va

Hi Robus, The song and basic mix is quite good. Some of the instruments are not fully in timing. Like the acoustics at the beginning - sounds like you double tracked them. I would consider going mono or panning closer to the center and looking at adjusting timing for some of the instruments...
