what is a good starter software program?

n-track is by far the easiest multi-tracker I've ever used. It's got more power than most beginners would know what to do with, plus support for dx and vst effects, and support for wdm drivers. Acid is also extremely easy for looping and recording, but is more expensive when you want to buy...

2 drug or not 2 drug ,dat iz da ?

Hmmm I write and record sober, but I perform better just a bit drunk...go figger...Guess I just get looser and start having more and more fun with it. Whatever gets the job done...the music is the important thing, not the chemical content of the musician.

    engineering school

The fact is, we live in a world that is still enamored more with degrees than with actual experience and results, or at best they would prefer degrees. That is just life. Sure, you don't need a degree to start a business, but when you are meeting with clients who want to see that degree for...

    how do i copyright songs?

It's always better to copyright, just in case you do get megaripped-off, I've heard that mail to yourself stuff is iffy in court(course that was from a lawyer who wanted me to pay him to get stuff copyrighted, f'n loser!).:D

    audio mastering

Hey musicking, don't be discouraged though. If your up for it, do all that stuff. How do you think those mastering pros learned what sounds good, where it sounds good, and how to get it that way? I myself, will gladly pay a pro when it comes time to master for a cd release, but I am learning...

I don't knwo if music match will do it, but I've heard wma files tend to be smaller than mp3s. You might try converting the wav to wma and then check the size...

    SONAR vs Everything Else

Ok, so normally I setup drum loops in FL, then I make a drum track in Acid (Cause I hate FL's song interface), then I record any live percussion I want to loop into Acid (like my lil egg shaker) and then I render separate wavs and import them into CW. People have told me that SONAR does all of...

a recording program for both mac and pc?

I'm using XP Pro, and I don't use .Net, the OS has never "badgered" me to do r get anything. I suppose it might if you just let it install and don't customize, but what fool would do that. Hmm, let's see, so I gotta do a little extra work and customize and streamline XP, took me maybe an...

    how the hell!!!!!!!!!!

You should be able to hit the "attach" button on your e-mail client and then browse for the wav you want to email. You might want to think about compressing it to mp3 before you email it though, depending on how big the clip is.

    new ditty

As always man, a very pleasant listen. I really like the electric guitar AND the synth. As far as bass goes, being a bass player, I like it where it is. I suppose it's too fat in the 300 hz area from a mixing standpoint, but damn it, it's time the bass got some dominance somewhere other than...
