    Song for movie soundtrack

Nice feel good kinda song. Agree with bass master though I think it needs a bit more in the low end. But I enjoyed it!

    check out my song.. "run"

My speakers here aren't very good so I can't comment on the mix. Some background vocals would really help round it out a bit I think.

    thepowerless - big out there

I like the song. Kinda mid 90's sound to it which I like. Can't really comment on the mix from here but it sounds good on my cheap office speakers.

What's left to do to this one?

I thought the vocals were nice, he does have a nice range and sound. The sax is cool. Interesting there's no guitar as it's so common in popular north american music! Great mix as well!

    thought I would post again

Everything sounds great to me. Very clear vocals and wonderful guitar playing! My girlfriend was doing laundry when I played it and asked me "Why dont you write songs like that?"

    IS this radio-ready?

It sounds pretty good to me. I'm hearing something very strange around 2:30 sounds like the guitar suddenly clips for a second or two? But it might be the MP3. I also think the vocals at the begining of the song are blending a bit much. All in all I enjoyed the song a lot!

lets hear those tape recorded recordings

How about a crappy highschool punk band done on (I believe it was) 8 track machine. The guy singing in this thought he was Johnny Rotten. <Laugh> http://tinys.cx/old/Pessimistic.mp3

    Multi-Track Software

I have both Adobe Audition and N-Track and I find I use N-track for most of the things I do. They are both very easy to use!

    Multi-Track Software

Apple recently sent me a propaganda video about a new product called "GarageBand". I believe it ships with all new G5's and is available for purchace from their website. http://www.apple.com/ilife/garageband/ I Played with it for about 45 mins when we had a new machine in for repair and it...

arming track 5/6 on mr8 only producing sound from left speaker

Track5 is panned hard left and 6 is hard right. You could always bounce 1-4 to 5-6 which would give you 4 more tracks to work with again. I find it's easier to just move everything to the computer via USB and mess with it there.

    Just remembered this...

CD: I have a shopping list the size of my arm, I'm talking to my better half and her father one day who tells me at least 1/2 my list is sitting in his garage rotting away. I'm driving up this weekend to pick up a "Case" of mics, cables, and other assorted gear from the late 60's through about...

    Huge MR-8 files

If you want to just store them on CD for backing up you could compress them with a zip utility. If they are completed songs a CD typically stores 70-80 mins of audio. You could also compress them to MP3 format but you loose some audio quality.

    software for mr 8

I use Ntracks. I first copy drums to the mr8, then record the various tracks I want and move them to the PC using the usb connection. gives you basically unlimited tracks esp with a MIDI cable that starts playback on the pc with the buttons on the mr8 so you can hear everything at once. I'm...

    mr-8 and other ?s

MP: I got the tracks lined up somehow in the demo version of N-track by just importing them, but in my older expensive Cubase no luck. I'm going to install n-tracks on my daw machine and see if it's a processor issue Intel laptop is what it worked with).

    mr-8 and other ?s

Got my MR8 about a month ago and so far have been pleased with the sound and quality of small songs. What I can't figure out is after using wavmanager to transfer the parts to the PC for mixing how do I make everything sync up? Each part is out of time with the rest?
