i bought a okay mic last night in a drunk ebay session. well i don't have anything with phantom power, so i'm thinking about either the DMP3 or a mackie 1202-VLZ mixer. because it would be nice to have a mixer too. would the quality of pre on one heavily outweigh the other?
to recap, i'm...
hi, roomx.....
i think people got mad at you beacuase your approach kind of has an annoying bravado to it that's a little outsiderish. it would be like me strutting into a country-western bar and ordering a malibu rum in a chilled glass. nevertheless, welcome to my web board. i'm the main guy...
i'm confused......
wouldn't the sm7 be a big improvement over the sm57 even if i still go through my 4-track? or does the sm7 require an expensive signal chain or something? i get good results with sm57 through the portastudio. i just want something a little better
it seems like the net...
is the ksm32 more detailed sounding than the sm7? does one have more bass to it or something?
i use a sm57 on everything and i want something different sounding. i don't have phantom power anymore so the sm7 looks good as far as me not having to buy a preamp goes
thanks,
mike helstrom
hey i tried getting the parts for this through digi-key last year and they had a minimum order for stuff. i don't need 25 capacitors or whatever becaue i'm not an electrician. is there a way to only get a couple parts? i got a couple through newark but they charged me 20 dollars for shipping
wireneck those were inpriring words because why does every post have to be enriching? goofing off is okay sometimes. cloneboy says it's wrong for anybody to laugh at him so he's leaving. okay goodbye. was it thomas jefferson or the bruce movement who said, "you better lighten up before you end...
jake-owa, you ruined homerecordng.com mystery '05 but you are cunning
a shirt salesman set up a webpage of my songs, if you actually are tough enough to download them:
http://www.vaguelyoffensive.com/skydaddy.htm
i don't know what quality the files are. buy his shirts
thanks for saying great...
imagine if MLK or gandhi shared that sentiment. my purpose is to help you discover your potential, friend. and to place your inner ugliness upon the stage of public scrutiny. to cleanse you. and to help you see
posting a professional-sounding track wont make me stop disliking cloneboy. he's ultra-defensive and he's a big dork and he's really full of himself. those are personality problems. not professional ones.
noisedude: do you ever think for yourself? do you ever use your own brain to decide the...
cloneboy, i was just reading some of your old posts because i truly can't believe how much of a dork you are. you posted your 'vintage 70's music' or whatever, and it's incredible how defensive you got when faced with criticism. you are one excuse after another. cat burglars stole your gear...
QUOTE FROM BRUCE:
your logged IP info tells a different story....... you think you're anonymous here?
------------------
MY RESPONSE:
let's see those IP numbers, bruce.
i guarantee mine wont match his. and if there's a way to show where we're from, let's do that too. unless you don't feel...
i'm not siefer and i don't know how i can prove that to you. but i think bruce is assuming that on account of my signature and becase i don't like you guys and because he can't picture a world where more than one person dislikes him
for the record, you've never said or done anything to me...
yeah it's dumb to do two different songs.
another thing i would say is to make you guys have to write your own songs. cloneboy obviously doesn't want it to be about songwriting and creativity because he's a dink when it comes to that.
and the song should have to be about some particular...
i tried switching out the cables for another set of 1/4" ones and a different y adapter. no dice
fuck it. i'll just go back to the crappy mismatched radio shack 1/8" ones. they've never given me any trouble. i just hate having adapters. it SEEMS like decent, 1/4" cables would work okay...
hi,
i have event ps6s and i just got a couple monster cables for them. so it goes like this: 2 cables from speakers ---> y adapter ---> soundcard 1/8"
i can hear music through them, but there's a constant buzz. anybody know how come? it didn't so this when i had shitty 1/8" radio shack cables...
how come you used an air compressor or a hydraulic pump for the open hat sound? it';s gross sounding. but i like the song
yours in pie,
cynthia rothrock
but..... if you can't afford a neumann, there are alternatives that sound less crappy than the sp's. personally, i would take my 57 over the c1 anyday of the wee. the c1 is just a very crappy sounding mic when used in conjunction with my setup and limited skills
