    Rigid Fiberglass containment options

One last thing... Since I'm just as cheap as I am retarded and you had mentioned earlier that you didn't use frames and that you just covered the boards and found a way to hang them, how exactly did you hang the boards?

I'll post a clip soon. Right now the young'n is sleeping, I just picked up a new guitar that I want to get all set up first, and I need to get my amp situation figured out and by that I mean I need figure out which part of the 30 ft. POS instrument cable I'm using as speaker cable is f*cked up...

    TS Lead vs. Guitar Lead

A guitar cable is just a TS cable. What makes a guitar cable different from speaker TS cables is the gauge of the wire used in the cable. Guitar cables with typically be around 20 or 18 gauge. Speaker cable gauge will typically be around 16 to 12 gauge, and the gauge used in speaker cable is...

    Rigid Fiberglass containment options

there's a 144 Sq. ft. to cover, and thats just the face of the boards, I need to wrap the fabric AROUND the boards. One yard of fabric is 1.89$ but we'll round up to 2$ for now... 1 yd. = 3ft. 144 sq. ft. divided by 3 = 48 That means I need 48 yards of fabric to cover ONLY the face of the...

Hmmm... seems like you have a better idea of tone than I do.... I actually found a crate gx900h for 200 which isn't terrible but I'm wondering is, do you think a different set of preamp tubes will have a lack of that fizziness ?

Idk if its for sure 100% of the amp. Remember that I'm using a crappy sears guitar and a bottom of the line cab. OTOH, the only amp I've ever been happy with was a crate gx900H head and a blue voodoo 4x12...

    Rigid Fiberglass containment options

Well I've got plenty of roxul rockboard... Now I just need to cover them with something and mount them. I'd hate to spend 150 on crappy fabric and some strips of wood to make the panels like most everyone else does cause that 150$ could be used to purchase more treatment... Are there any...

    Any Soldano users?

right, which is why I'm indifferent. They're fun to play around with if I ever wanna screw around with a hi-gain sim. Sounds good enough to me seeing as how I really don't give a f*ck about super hi-gain sounds. YMMV

    Any Soldano users?

The soldano sim on the v-amp sounds pretty heavy. But I'm not into super heavy saturated distorted guitar tones like that so theres no way I'd ever spend money on a real amp for that kinda sound. V-amp makes me happy enough as it is.

Crappy sears guitar -> Peavey Windsor head -> Crappy mg412 cab -> Shure SM57 -> M-Audio audiobuddy preamp -> E-mu 1212m -> Reaper. Now obviously the first three parts of the signal chain aren't exactly a dream setup with the guitar and 4X12 cab being the weakest links but I'm trying to make...

My guitar sound had this really nasty fuzz/fizz just terrible quality to it. After looking at the frequency response of a vintage 30 I realized that there isn't much going on above 8Khz. I can't seem to find the frequency response of the speakers that I have (stock speakers in a marshall mg412)...
