**OFF TOPIC** But I need your help

Maybe so, but not applicable, as your children and their mother aren't "someone else". Running out of headroom for yourself as it was all taken by your kids and their mother isn't a sacrifice. It's a blessing. If you look around you'll find someone else here and there and everywhere who only can...

Using unbalanced cables with balanced equipment

Steve, there's nothing "unusual" here, +4 inserts and/or direct outs are common. That's what I'd believe your mixer's internal operating level is, that's all. You need to forget about the whole "issue" ..heh heh ... if you are going to use those inserts with the gear you've mentioned and simply...

Sounds like the best solution to me :D So, see, Steve, it depends. :)

Using unbalanced cables with balanced equipment

Steve what exactly are you cannecting to what. All those general talks about "balanced gear" drive me nutzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz! I've made those bouncing springs animation partially cpecifically to annoy people who love to chat about "blanced gear" in general and to drive them bananza ... heh...

    This pedal sounds great!!!...

a-huh-huh! That's a good one!!!!! :drunk: But that's the whole "point", man. It goes like this: -"Hey, Beavis, check this out, bunch of dudes are willing to spend like 600 bucks or more for an old tape ...." ...hah hah hah hah.... - "Yeah, yeah. Heh heh heh. What a bunch of bun-holes... heh heh...

    This pedal sounds great!!!...

I am not an "analog guy" and I don't hate computer recording at all. I also have bunch of digital "gear" without any guilt attached :D ******* By the way, the pedal "sounds" pretty cool. It is what it is, though. If it was a picture on the wall, I would say about it: "The painting is fine. The...

    This pedal sounds great!!!...

Guys, the problem for me is that I've wasted all the oil in the tank to be serious about it. Spent too much time and energy analyzing and thinking seriously about "the subject"... so I'm out of fuel. :drunk: Some Satire is all I still have. ********** Fooling is not a hell of a job, except...

    This pedal sounds great!!!...

geeluiweeeeeeeeee..... I actually checked out the youtube promo clip there...made through about half of the first one, had to click STOP "button". Arghhhhhhhhhhhhh :spank: OK, nop. It does NOT sound like a tape echo. It sounds like a digital delay with a twist. Cool knobs though, I like that...

The kind of thing i hate the most

Right! :) See seller's other items. If you see some "similar" items that are tested and in "perfect working condition" then the chances are that the ones that "they" "can't" ;) test have problems/issues. So all the "untested" items are for parts/repair... and that's why ten bucks is the "price"...

The kind of thing i hate the most

Yeah, me too :) Also the "description" can be more to the point, sort of speak , such as: "Unit was powered "ON", atherwise untested" (period). And there is no need then to pretend that I "is" "Them" and to inform the world about what "WE" can or can not do....heh heh heh :drunk:

The kind of thing i hate the most

sounds good to me. Those "kinds" of sellers are most viewed by those kinds like myself :drunk: I've found a lot of great stuff in their junk "catalogs". I don't buy for more than 10 bucks a piece or so.... but that's a different aspect. so, go for it , man, I'll check what you've got :cool...

Slightly OT: How do you clean your vinyl?

My "method" : gentle amount of windex spray and wipe with flannel to dry. repeat until it's all clean and shiny :) Also I don't treat records as "collectable items", just keep them clean, so +1 from me to: :D

Teac RC -140 compatible with teac 3340s?

Heh heh. You are right, Tim. There are no "logic"(s) in the control for those machines....just switches, diods, coils, caps, lamps ....arghhhhhhhhh.... and wires with good amount of current available "in them" :D:drunk::D

Teac RC -140 compatible with teac 3340s?

I would NOT!!!!!!! try-experiment RC-140 on 3340S without FIRST taking a real GOOD look at the diagram of the RC-140, which I don't have. I do have A-4300SX, that uses RC-140. I don't have RC-140, but I know what "dummy plug" (short connection) is like. SEE This thread...
