Help adjusting R8 reel table height

You should not ever need to adjust this. But if you really have to then try applying some pure acetone or acetone based nail polish remover, use q-tip swab and apply all around to soak the old "paint-glue", let it sit for a minute, it should get softer. btw, there's nothing missing there :)

    Nice!

In fact, strictly technically speaking, there's no such thing as "synchronizing audio", but there's such thing as synchronizing machines that record and playback audio. :D :drunk:

    Nice!

    - is as DAW as it gets :D A "technical" discussion of a "process in general" in a "General DAW" is an adventure in a fictional jungle, a perfect place to get lost ;) ********** p.s. a bite of food for thoughts for an audio purist-theorist :p 1. In essense , synchronization is an event...

    Nice!

Watch this Good Old Master at work as MASTER and try to think of what is the essence of synchronization: when flute blows too soon or too late, don't blame the MASTER. ;)

    Nice!

Nah... I would say - fundamental science is. ...or is it too old school nowdays? :D Sure it's not hypothetical. ...., that's why nobody even cares to know what DAW/computer system Steve has. *********** uh, I didn't realise that you were trying to make a point :) Maybe so...

    Nice!

Short version of the above: The fact that Cubase’s playback is synchronized does not mean that digital audio is being synchronized. verdict: Cubase Studio4 is not a good Audioslave. ****** Yeah, I know, it's not. On the other hand it's b-board, and so words is all we got, another words -...

I'd say something had gotten lost. :) I'd guess, mathematically it can be just as steady as "The Matrix" itself, but practically - just as good as it gets ;) Geez louise :D , heh heh, speaking of CLOCK "being used somewhat loosely". "clock-driven event" - any event in "The Matrix". No other...

    Nice!

Guys, I think you are arguing about diffrent things. The word "clock" was/is being used somewhat loosely (in manuals or wherever the word "clock" was/is being used. :D ) So, please, figure it out, will'Ya? :) "clock" this, "clock" that., .... heh heh :drunk: >>> Real time Digital system: a...

    Teac A 3440 Speed problems

Is the "wrong" speed steady or is it drifting? You need to open the back of the deck and check the capstan flat belt and see if your machine's capstan motor has pulley with two different diameter surfaces. One surface would be for 50 Hz and the other - for 60 Hz AC Power. Sometimes when people...

OFF TOPIC: Recommend a toslink D/A converter (for TV)?

Yes! Be careful :D "google "Toslink to RCA"" is not a suggestion for what to get but for what to google. :listeningmusic: but you don't even have to do anything, as the Board already googled it for you automatically , see attached screenshot or Log Out and view the thread as a "guest", or...

    TASCAM 246 motor question

come down  and just wait untill you get the belts :eatpopcorn: :) your deck acting "normal" without belts. The system must have control belt installed (the shorter round belt, that is), then it will set itself up and motor will not run like crazy. After you install the belts, then when...

uh, after looking again at your photos now I think that in addition to top caps your rollers are also "missing" a part of them - the top (or say - front) flange. I am not sure if it's 100% the case, hmmmmmmmmmmmm ... looks kinda' strange :drunk::drunk::drunk:
