HHmmm...seems like you didn't learn from that accident... it's not the combination of dynamic mic and phantompower that's the problem...thats a perfectly normal situation. It could be a very stupid soldered wire, a shortcircuit in the mixingboard...truck out, on stage, off stage, truck in...

Nop, it ain't irrelevant...got the pcix 424 from motu, which will be handeling 32+ in/outs on 24/88.2 soon.....read about the 7000, but local macstore's say it ain't compatible.....the old vodoo was flashed for mac... but if it is going to drag the system down, that ain't an option.

well got a g5 here with motu, a g4 with digidesign and for the firsttime in my life...a pc with digidesign.... well....mac are in the studio earning their money back, and the pc has become the base of internet/administration and occasionally editing on nuendo....so which one is the best...for...

5x dtrs over here, but be aware...they have transport hardware which like any vcr gads bad after a while...our studio was facing the dilemma...buy 5x new dtrs or go for hd based recording....not to get stuck with the same problem within 5 years from now we opted for the hd....the dtrs are going...

but that's the problem....no one seems to know what cards can go into the pcix of the G5....if this one works, why nog give it a try...I defenitly want triple monitors, but the third one will be used for just showing plugins and timecode. I'm not going to try it untill I hear somebody saying...

Hey, anybody know if the vodoo3 2000 pci graphics card can de used in the G5 pci-X slots? Right now I have a 2 tft setup just running from the provided graphicscard. For nuendo I want at least a 3 monitor setup.... I have another G4 running dual screen right now, but can't seem to find out...

woha....end of the year is equipment buying time: Mac G5 dual 1,8 with 1,5G ram and dvdburner running nuendo/motu Sony P4 2,66 with dvdburner running nuendo / digidesign 5x 15" tft got a lot of playing to do the next couple of days :D

Yeah..that last is true....it is a pc written program... and you didn't start a mac/pc war...I guess we are all satisfied with the choice we made....
