well I've watched the demo and I can't get any of the instruments that come with the software to record. I must no be setting something up correct. [I] need a step-by-step. :confused:

I'm trying to lay down a basic rhythm tract for a song using boom. So I made a stereo instrument tract, from the boom plugin, when I record it doesn't lay down any waves in the edit region, just a blank box. So it's recording but nothing shows up. And it does the same for the other ists, like...

I had to reinstall my windows 7 and that made loose all my settings for PT. I can't remember how to set my preferences so that when I hit the stop buttom it stays where I stopped it in the recording, and not go all the back to the beginning. Scott

pezking, Bingo, That's it. I did find it in the owners manual page 359 of 1112. It might would have taken me a while to get there. That's why I'm in a froum ;) Thank you for the input. And I will from now on post questions concerning PT in that section :drunk:

When the song is playing, and I hit the spacebar, it stops and goes back to the beginning, not pausing.

I know this is stupid, but I can't pause in my pro tools LE? There's no pause on the transport. The help says alt-start, what's that mean? alt-play doesn't pause it just goes back to the beginning. Help please....:confused:

I was my mike :). It's new and I have a new shockmount...;)

As the tile states this is my first recording with pro tools. I have a lot of static when I'm recording and playback. And there's no way I could here a click track and overdub over another track for all the noise. Am I overlooking something? Scott
